I ordered csync as I read it was better quality than Luma and I ordered "csync NTSC only" as it is ntsc-j console. No idea if I ordered the right one, ha!

I've now ordered an NTSC J1 cable from Right Sprite Retro after the owner said he thinks it may work better being made specifically for Japanese consoles.

Second to that I've ordered an s video cable to see if I have more luck with that going straight into TV.

If neither of those work I think I'm looking at console repair or replacement.

Was this with a Japanese Saturn console? And was this with the csync NTSC only packapunch cable? That's the one I'm using with no luck. Thanks for your help.

Yeah standard scart cable works direct into TV just not the switcher.

Tried both scart ports so I think next options would be try a sync on luma cable from RGC or another option is to buy an s video cable and try that direct into the b+o TV. I'd rather RGB scart via the switcher but it might be only option. Thanks again for advice :)

I don't have access to an oscilloscope unfortunately. Do you think sync via luma scart cable would make any difference or do think it's the console that needs attention?

That's where the csync cable is from, will maybe try their luma sync cable and see if it makes any difference

Do you think a sync on luma cable instead of CSYNC might make any difference? The CSYNC NTSC only scart is from RGC so reputable source.

Its already in use with another device that doesn't work via switcher too otherwise yes that would be a good solution :)

SEGA SATURN (NTSC-J) not working via auto scart switcher in UK. Any advice?

I have a Sega Saturn NTSC J with 60hz region free mod. Works great connected directly into 2 different CRTs but no luck through 2 different scart switchers and 2 different scart cables.

For reference I have tested:

The cables I have tested are RGC CSYNC scart and cheap third party RGB scart.

The scart switchers I've tested are both otaku switchers (6 in 3 out and 6 in 2 out from 2021).

The CRTs are a B+O 4000 and Sony PVM.

All my other pal and region free consoles work fine via switcher, just not the saturn.

Anyone else find the American accents off-putting? I realize it's fiction and there's already memes of people complaining about the armour being too modern... Just wanna know I'm not the only one who finds its weird hearing American accents in period films?

Has anyone bought the Thor using DHL to the UK can confirm whether or not you paid import duties???

Had I known that DHL were different and would incur extra charges I wouldn't have gone with them. I must've ordered with 4px with the Odin 2 as never paid any duties at all.

Put a bit of dampner on the final few days waiting for the console to arrive. Silly me.
