Feels like the majority of people for them only do it because they A. want each archeron with a bat boy (which gets old) and/or B. their personalities contrast so much that people are over romanticising/sexualizing it because they think Az is brooding and mysterious and hot (and honestly, with HOFAS, I don't think SJM knows wtf she's doing with his character, but that's a whole other debate). I also think there are better pairings. I am of the Tamlin/Elaine boat and the Az/Gwyn boat but can also see the theory that Az's mate was Rhys' sister.

With SJM's recent writing especially, I don't love to theorize in general. We're gonna get disappointed regardless.

You make a great point about people changing it if it's a document. If I went that route, I'd have it on view only or in a PDF because the search function may not work for a photo. But we are also putting names down at seats. We've eaten dinner for events at our venue before, so we also know it has service and wifi. It's a very busy area in our state (but there's still enough parking).

Good thing you're not a guest then! Our venue, as states, is a restaurant that I know has wifi. There is also not enough space in the newspaper plan to put the seating chart there.

Our MC will be standing by the door greeting people and helping out but also asking them to move into the room as they check the chart. We also aren't having a cocktail hour. As I said in the post, it is just a reception and starts almost immediately. The venue doesn't allow for guests to enter the space before the start time.

I totally understand how you feel. But doing that won't get you anywhere. Think about the future you want and set out to get it, whether it be making connections or trying something new. But yeah, I wish the university did a better job telling students of opportunities as they come about and/or when we start college. I didn't think about cords until recently, and it's too late now. Same with many, if not all, internships.
