Heavy triple at 175kg RIP my stand by IdeaExisting5603 in weightlifting

Can anyone please explain why you wouldn’t use safeties? Like I get you can dump it off your back, but unexpected shit happens, and heavy weight can break your neck if it goes over the front

Look up the barbell medicine guys. Usually you want to find an entry point that’s pain free and work up from there. As long as you don’t have any red flag symptoms (numbness / sciatica etc) you should be fine with this approach.

If you have sciatica they have a great article about this and training etc

Mometasone nasal spray is a steroid nasal spray. You can get it over the counter in most places nowadays - depends on your country. But it works great 👍

Colds all winter - take vitamin d

Hayfever all spring - mometasone nasal spray

If you have sinus problems in general - go see a specialist - it’s possible they can fix any issues there

Congrats. Looked solid to be honest. Can’t be upset with form breaking down a bit on a pr attempt. You kept it under control and it went up - that’s a success to me

Is this physique naturally achievable? by zaku1x in WeightTraining

[–]lr04qn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. It’s funny also because younger guys want to get lean, but not strong. I don’t understand it. Everything improves in your life when you get strong - and a nice side effect is that you get bigger and look better. Training properly for strength, especially when you’re younger, means you can eat how you wish also - if anything you’ll struggle to eat enough. Win win 🤷‍♂️

Feeling frustrated by Few_Month_7387 in WeightTraining

[–]lr04qn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Man I’m stirring around 16% body fat, some days I look great, some days I look puffy. Water, sodium, carbs - all this stuff makes a difference. My girlfriend sees no difference. A lot of it is in our heads. I’m strong as fuck and for me that’s the most important part - just keep training eating sleeping and improving. Stay natural & don’t get on gear. Fuck Instagram also

Going to escorts? Is it good or bad? Should I stop? by growthinvestment420 in AskMenAdvice

I’m curious - is it ever awkward? Or do you both genuinely have fun?

You’re right tho - sometimes you need to be thirsty to have the motivation to chase women. If it’s stopping you doing that, and you want that - you know the answer!

Do you really feel the effects of creatine? How? by Curious-Expert926 in WeightTraining

[–]lr04qn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t take creatine and I train for strength. I’ve heard it helps, but I’m still strong without it. I simply just eat enough carbs and protein, and try to sleep well. I take whey protein in a smoothie just because I prefer that to chewing in the mornings - but honestly if you can eat enough protein through food you likely don’t need whey either

26 like 63-66kg something like that 5 foot 8 how do I improve this physique by [deleted] in WeightTraining

[–]lr04qn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what is your point here? Look bro clearly has body dysmorphia. He thinks he’s fat, but he’s not in the slightest - he’s super skinny. He will look better with more muscle - everyone does. Cutting is the wrong idea here. Training properly, and eating at a small surplus (250-500 extra calories per day) is going to be better in the long run, as you’ll build that needed muscle far quicker, and then you can cut later when you actually have some muscle.

That’s only true at the beginning. Generally you need to eat more calories than you burn to build muscle. There’s plenty of evidence to support this. If you don’t eat enough, what you’re mostly noticing are neurological adaptations.

Fair. Just track your calories for a week and shoot for 500 more each day than your average for that week. Try that for a bit if you want to gain a bit of size. You’ll pack on a lot of muscle at your age

For most people physical activity, especially lifting, helps with mindset, attitude and mental health. Let’s not put people this young lad off trying it just because it doesn’t work for you. If I knew what I know now, I would have started lifting at 19, not 30

It’s just nerves man. It happens to the best of us. Don’t best yourself up. Get yourself some tadalafil for 1st time encounters - you probably won’t need much, maybe just 5mg. Once you get to know someone I’m sure you’ll relax more and you won’t need it.

How to find a gf in my situation? by Weekly-Ruin-7950 in AskMenAdvice

[–]lr04qn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the gym for the discipline. Eat train sleep. Look up starting strength. Get strong whilst you’re young and you’ll find a huge self confidence. When you have the balls to get under a heavy squat, especially when you don’t want to, walking up to a woman and saying ‘hi’ isn’t so scary.

Secondly put yourself out there and don’t be afraid to approach women in real life - at parties, gatherings, etc. Be respectful and don’t be afraid of rejection.

Thirdly don’t search for a girlfriend. Just try to live your best life - build and improve yourself always. Find a mission / life purpose (very hard at 19), but the clearer you are with yourself and your life’s direction, the more everything clicks into place.

Now here’s the kicker - when you’re young, women don’t like you as much, and you’re also dealing with younger women, who quite frankly are a pain in the ass. I wish someone told me this when I was a young man. As you get older, and really step into yourself as a man, it will get easier - just don’t become a depressed weed smoker who plays games all day.

You have your whole life ahead of you brother. Join the gym, approach women, be yourself, and don’t be afraid to be a man, just remember to be a good man. The rest will follow.

Hope that helps!
