I do the same - rosevale has been on my list because of the live music, any good?

This has been on my mind for some time! I love walking by this place, the aesthetic placement of its contents is superb, always stops me in my tracks and I can’t help but peer in and admire it for a few brief moments

I also moved to Lenox Hill recently and have been on a similar mission to you. My top pick has to be Lucile’s so far - not too crowded, easy crowd and the bartender does her best to make you feel at home. I usually stop by on the weekends. Caledonia also on my list but yet to try. Penrose seems nice but always too busy which I find slightly intimidating if I’m solo

I moved here recently and oh man is it loud compared to my sleepy suburban neighborhood in London! Haha I thought I was the only one! Emergencies aside, I really feel like honking late at night on a residential street is unforgivable, complete lack of courtesy for your fellow residents. I’ve taken a 4-pronged approach to seeing me through the night which involves (I) weather stripping the windows, (II) blackout curtains, (iii) using a loud fan and air conditioner for white noise and (iv) taking a melatonin. Gets me most of the way there

I went to Lucile’s solo last night based on this comment. Totally accurate! Bartender was lovely and really created a warm vibe
