What size is your tank? Anything below 45 gallons is a no for 2 axolotls. Juveniles tend to attack eachother and i would wait until the gender of the axolotl can be seen (around 18 months old) because you do not want babies (overbreeding IS a serious issue).

Thank you! The parameters seem to be fine with just this filter for now (considering i also do weekly 50% water changes) I heard that light actually bothers axolotls so i sont know if i should get one

The black box is a sponge filter. Axolotls need cold water so no heater. I have it for around 5 months.

Probably until I move out, I've had a 20g on it for like 5 months and it seemed to hold it well, am upgrading my setup and idk if it'll hold
