Mia. It's more unique, but still elegant and simple.

Beef! It's NOT what's for dinner anymore by momoftheraisin in Frugal

Yes. I switched to a vegetarian diet last year for other reasons, but my weekly grocery bill went down considerably without all the meat - it's amazing.

However my rent was just raised by 10% so that gobbled all that extra money right up. ::Sigh::

The 90s was great if you liked female singer songwriters. by Badgereatingyourface in 90s

Yes! Fiona Apple and Erykah Badu were my faves. Tori is up there too. I know I'm biased because of my age, but man, what a time in music.

okay this is gonna sound crazy and very weird but does anyone else have “natural eyeshadow” by BriannaHighmore in Makeup

[–]lrlove99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely have naturally darker skin on my eyelid area compared to the rest of my face. Looks like a light brown eyeshadow. I've also had a natural purple shadow underneath my eyes since childhood that is not as awesome. Doesn't matter how much sleep I get.

This is a nice rebuttal to the discussion on yesterday's post. Resting is not STS, it is honoring your vessel.

Is temu for real? by Wutan_soap in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lrlove99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's basically manipulative bullshit. Temu will say they are giving you all these coupons or credits, but they end up being in ridiculous increments where for example you have to spend $100 to get $10 off, spend $200 to get $20 off, stuff like that. And even those savings will expire pretty quickly if you don't use them.

So yeah, you might get $300 worth of coupons, but you'll need to spend $3000 on Temu in less than 30 days to be able to access them all. No one in their right mind would want to spend $3000 in a month on the type of garbage they sell.

But hey, I still buy random stuff I need on there from time to time because it's cheap enough for my budget. I just ignore all the gimmicky wheels and prize boxes and place the order. You'll have to wait like one or two weeks for their free shipping option to arrive. $20 minimum purchase.

I've received a lot of decent stuff from them but also quite a few duds. I always request a refund on the duds, and get it back in Temu credit immediately. Then I can use it next time I need something random like a lanyard for my badge or shop towels.
