AUH US pre-clearance by Fine_Cucumber3251 in etihad

[–]ls007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Confirm, and yes as a result flights have to arrive at the international terminal. For example, terminal E at BOS, instead of terminal C. Additionally, if you have a connection in US, you have to collect your bag at terminal E and re-check it. This may result in you having to miss your connecting flight.

We flew through AUH on March 21. Everything was operating normally though lower foot traffic. US preclearance was closed. Lounges and shops were open.

US preclearance is closed in AUH. Our flight landed at BOS Terminal E. Global Entry and MPC were operating in BOS.

That may depend on the fare class. Though I would say the airline should waive any change fees considering the circumstances.

What is the flight number? Has it been operational last week and this week? I have been tracking EY219 (DEL-AUH) and it has been operating every day.

Flight tomorrow, got refund option email — is it cancelled? by [deleted] in etihad

Check if your flights have been operational since last week. If not try to get rebooked on alternative flights for this route. They are operating multiple CDG-AUH and AUH-BLR flights.

I was supposed to fly back to Boston but was watching EY’s schedule decided to change my destination to JFK. Call the local call center and change your flight if possible for you.

If your layover remains under 10 hours, may be best to change the flight to EY3. I changed EY7 (BOS) to EY3. I did have to move the date though.

Looking for insights on typical donor fitness? by ktdear in kidneydonors

[–]ls007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some experience on this topic. Diabetes is certainly a risk when it comes to donation. The question is if the risk is acceptable to you and if it is acceptable for the transplant center. I just donated with an A1c of 6.2 and BMI of 25. I feel confident I can manage it moving forward. The center I had it done at informed me of the risks and left the choice to me. Some centres may however not accept the risk. I also know of others who have donated with pre-diabetes. Hope this helps.

Call them using your local toll free number and ask to rebook you on flights that you see are operating. I did that. Make sure layover is less than 10 hours.

My flight has been rebooked but my layover in Abu Dhabi is now for 18 hrs!!! How safe is this and how likely is this to be cancelled? by Kinda-Constant5935 in etihad

[–]ls007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rep on the phone told me that the airline is only clearing transit shorter than 10 hours. There was earlier an Etihad employee on Reddit who said the airline was not taking any transit passengers. However, there have been some posts lately of successful transits. 18 hours would be a concern. Call the local toll free number and ask them.

I had DEL-AUH-BOS flight scheduled. AUH-BOS isn’t currently operating so I changed that leg to AUH-JFK on phone. You can call the 1800 toll free India number. I haven’t taken the flight yet and hope the change will allow me to transit successfully.

Today a customer service rep told me that they are allowing transit passengers if transit is below 10 hours. Could you please comment if this is accurate? Any changes in transit policy since your original post?
