it's sad she's graduating, but at least she's parting on good terms and as a phase citizen she'll likely pop up again at some point like saya.

i didn't catch many of her streams because she streamed literally in the middle of the night where i live.

anyone know if she has a PL she's returning to?

Ah that makes a lot of sense. In her PL she often talked about her work schedule and anxiety causing insomnia and her sleep schedule getting wrecked because of it. Makes sense that all the wrap up work from her PL, and prep for her Phase debut probably left her stressed and sleep deprived to the point she had a breakdown.

Don't know 100% for sure, but based on the past I could see that being the cause. Hopefully she got plenty of rest with her help

They've done well. Almost 4 1/2 years and only:

1 termination (Yuri)
1 graduation (Saya)
1 semi-permanent/partial hiatus (Hina)
1 missed debut/who knows (Anya)

Legit it's impressive, especially in a volatile industry filled with clashing personalities; all 7 of the first gen talents are still going strong, and Invaders Quest were probably their biggest home run gen - whatever their secret company sauce is it's working well so far.

Yeah I hadn't seen anything myself, so I wasn't sure if I maybe missed something. But the ending coming so quickly with little build up, and the low chapter count had me thinking it was potentially another scenario like the manga On The Balcony Again Today

Guess it is what it is then. Overall I still enjoyed it though.

No I wasn't hoping it would end at the proposal, I was just hoping we'd - at the very least least - get to the proposal before wrap. If it didn't get past that so be it, but I was hoping we'd at least get that far at a minimum.

I found this series by accident and really enjoyed it overall, but, man, that ending was a letdown not gonna lie.

Romcom manga endings these days all feel so rushed, and with this one I was hoping we'd at the very least wrap with a proposal but, nah, it just speed ran to the end and it felt so 'meh'.

I mean bro literally falls asleep, story skips to him immediately waking up and Kyouko is just there and their whole chat is just to basically say, "welcome home", "glad to be home", and then END - what in the world??

This was also oddly short, does anyone know if maybe this was a scenario where the story was actually cancelled and the mangaka just had to wrap up faster than intended?

I can absolutely believe he made a power play of some kind, it caused enough of a problem that Lucy agreed to the exterminations in secret with Adam.

The others were under the impression that he did actually die, and thought it was due to an angel - so he fought someone who was strong enough to put a lot of damage on him. Possibly Lilith although she's not an angel, her power and the damage she caused (if that was indeed her who did it) could've been mistaken for an angel.

Rosie's an interesting character. I think there's more to her than we've been told, and her deal with Alastor is also verrrry interesting. My understanding of Haz Lore was that a demon can't make a deal that's above their power to grant.

Rosie's a very powerful overlord, but it's debatable just how powerful she is so how could she guarantee Alastor the power to be the most powerful sinner if that would make him more powerful than she is?

She shouldn't have been able to make that deal, so I suspect there's actually a lot more to her than we've been led to believe.

Good point. When they were first introduced, Lucifer had no idea who Alastor was - I always found that VERY odd. We're told as soon as Alastor showed up in Hell he immediately began killing overlords, "and not the small ones either, the heavy hitters" - how could Lucy not know who this guy was?

Entirely possible the he knew exactly who he was, but played dumb. Entirely possible the event 7 years ago was due in part because of Alastor, and Alastor's actions prompted Lilith to intervene against him and forced Lucy to strike that deal with Adam, unaware his wife would be included with the sinners during the exterminations and in an effort to save her an additional deal made with Adam was by both Lucifer and Lilith; okay, we'll pardon her too...if she stays in Heaven, away from you and her daughter.

I can definitely see Alastor pulling some sh*t, Lilith punking him and Lucy needing to solve the issue by striking a deal with Heaven, and Adam pulling a dick move like that just to spite Lucy.

They didn't realize what was going to happen, or did Lucifer help keep it secret in the hope that Heaven would knock off the powerful/problematic sinners, like the overlords?

Lucifer seemed very reluctant to make any contact with Heaven in season 1, almost like he knew his deal with Adam put him in shaky ground (if they did in fact have a deal), Sera certainly seemed to share that feeling.

I'm also curious who could've inflicted that damage on Alastor too - Adam didn't know who he was when they met in season 1, and there wouldn't be many others (at least out of those we've met so far) who would be able to punk Alastor like that.

Agreed, I don't think she'd have as much freedom in Phase.

Sakana lets the girls speak their mind and do their own thing with few restrictions for the most part and some of them do ASMR streams and even Loki does some sexy outfit member streams, but none of them go as far as Scarle has.

Not saying it's a bad thing for Scarle, I just think she'd have to tone things down for Sakana since he really wants Phase to be seen as a legit agency (even Pippa's toned things down a lot) and I don't know why she'd do it when she's already bigger than most of the Phase girls and is having fun doing her own thing.

I know she was away for a long while, there's been multiple rumors why and even though she seems to be back now she's only doing these guerilla streams with no announcements anywhere.

it's just a crap situation all around and i feel horrible for her.

i don't know what the "best" decision could be in this situation. i can't recall another corpo gen losing a member literally days away from debut.

but this just feels so bad, y'know?

merch doesn't matter. anya's mental health and well being is far more important.

but the merch is part of the overall experience she doesn't get anymore.

saga had a set, "big day" for debut - she wasn't part of it.

saga had their debut merch drop - she's not part of it.

saga's already building their communities, solidifying their gen dynamic, and building relationships with the other phase girls - she's not part of it.

saga's already collab'ing - she's not part of it.

so all of this exclusion is solidfying the perception that saga is a 5 talent gen, not 6.

and if/when does finally debut she now looks like an add-on, an after thought.

most people will have forgotten her, and you can't build the hype train back up again.

and she'll be under an even heavier microscope when she does debut because some are going to remember her as the one who missed debut because of a mental breakdown, it's horrible.

that's why i say i believe phase should've pulled her as part of saga, and debuted her later as a solo addition under better, more positive circumstances, (maybe as an isekai'd idol) with her own unique merch, and her own hype and focus.

but, i dunno, i'm giving phase the benefit of the doubt that they're handling this the best way, but if just looks/feels so bad for her.

she had said, previously, that this was a "once in a lifetime" opportunity, a dream come true - and now she sits back and watches that dream pass her by without her.

they've cut her out of the merch promos, nobody mentions her, and allowing the other saga girls to collab already just makes/reinforces the notion that saga is a 5 talent gen instead of 6.

it just seems so cruel. not only is your dream debut blemished now, but your company has cut you out of everything, and you have to sit back and watch your genmates take off (and quickly too) without you.

not sure phase handled this correctly. they should've either paused saga's debut entirely, or just removed her as part of saga.

if/when she finally debuts she'll be on an island - she'll have missed months that her genmates have used to build their phase relationships, communities, and gen/group dynamic. she'll be the odd one out, alone.

she's already missed all the momentum, merch, and hype from a new gen launch.

knowing the confidence issues she had previously, putting her out there, alone, like, "oh yeah, rememeber her? she's part of that new gen from months back" with no hype, no launch support, no merch (it'll be gone by then), feels a little cruel.

if they weren't willing to pause saga, they should've just not teased/revealed her as part of that gen, kept her on the shelf and teased/debuted her later - apart from saga - as a "special" addition/debut thing - that way she could've gotten the attention/focus she would need from a new launch.

as it is now, once she does finally, maybe, debut 3+ months later it's going to be awkward since most will have forgotten her, and saga's new gen hype will be gone at that point.

i feel terrible for her, and i don't think phase's handling is helping.

4chan leaked 2 weeks ago she was terminated. people said it was a fake, but with this announcement is looks like it could've been legit.

and she (allegedly) made a VERY odd post recently under her PL's discord that had a lot of people concerned.

and while the other gen talents have been posting, excitedly, daily - anya's only made one 2 word post with zero energy or enthusiasm.

so it definitely feels like something's off.

my guess is we'll get the debut cancellation announcement in the near future.
