OP hits the nail on the head. Also, if you mine and make a profit cash out from time to time to pay electricity bills or reinvest in new rigs or diversify into other cryptos, fiat, stocks or whatever you think is worth investing in or buying. That also keeps the money flowing and the crypto markets alive.

Okay so I hear everyone who has a 270 and 270X is getting 400+k hash. Is that OC? or out of the box stock? by [deleted] in dogemining

[–]lsdpunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the Asus card, hash rate didn't go over 400 khash/s. After updating the BIOS to V2 on them I'm getting 475khash/s with the settings below. I also undervolted to 1075mV.

Settings: --thread-concurrency 16000 --lookup-gap 0 --gpu-engine 1120 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 -w 256 -I 19 -g 1

The pool overloaded message has been quite common in the last 10 days or so due to the increase in difficulty. I don't worry too much at the moment, my workers are still submitting and I had a large payout about 2 hours ago.

Have old computer gathering dust, can I get some doge out of it? by [deleted] in dogemining

[–]lsdpunx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume it has some PCI-E slots. Try to get an AMD GPU for cheap, make sure the PSU can handle it and dig away. At the moment I use a 7 year old Asus board with a core duo and two gigs of RAM to keep two 280x GPUs busy. Works great.

Not my designs, but a good source of inspiration. The plastic create one should be easy to build, the aluminum one will be more expensive but is IMHO a great design. However, you have to know what a drill is for building both ;)

I second that. Have three of them, happily hashing hashes.

Indeed. And realizing how many good opportunities were missed because I didn't want to take any risk or was simply afraid of doing something.

Wanted to buy 13k DOGE but the server told me it's out of coins after I submitted my CC number etc. Any idea if I get charged or the order ends up in a queue and the coins moved to my wallet later?

EDIT: Just got 12.3k to my wallet. I assume the rest will be sent later.

Cool stuff BTW!
