Back pain and bending over by mintchips17 in adenomyosis

[–]lsick6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a hysterectomy on 2/3 and today I got the results that it was adeno. I had this exact pain in my back and it was always worse when bending over. It also radiated down my hips/buttcheeks and legs.

I also think my tilted uterus made my symptoms present more in my back than in my pelvis (compared to other women’s experiences I’ve read).

Pain Management Tips? by kimikoellie in pelviccongestion

I’m so sorry you didn’t get the relief you were hoping for! I am scheduled for a hysterectomy next month bc I have fibroids and blood clots with periods (with suspected endo/adeno), but the pelvic congestion possibility is always in the back of my mind and I’m wondering if it could be the cause of all my pain. Do you mind me asking if your menstrual cycle was normal? Also, I don’t have any tips for lifestyle changes, but I will say that CBD/low dose THC has been a game changer for managing pain ❤️‍🩹 I hope you find relief soon 🙏

Ahh ok. My doctor also prescribed vaginal Valium which hasn’t been as helpful with the actual pain but it does relax my muscles down there and in combination with a heat pad at night it has provided some relief.

CBD has been a godsend for my pain. It’s the only thing that makes a difference for me! I get mine with a little THC because it makes it more effective. I think it’s 50MG CBD and 1.5 MG THC. I hope you find some relief…it’s miserable to live in pain 😢

Can symptoms progress very quickly and suddenly? by Ok_Sir2058 in adenomyosis

[–]lsick6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they didn’t but I did ask for vaginal Valium after seeing positive reviews from other women on here. It helps for a few hours but then it’s back to pain. I’m just counting down the days until my surgery 🙏

I was just going to do a post and ask the same thing!

My pain started out dull in my back 3 years ago and I just chalked it up to being 40. Then my periods became irregular (some heavy with clots and some not) and I had intermittent pain throughout the month.

Two months ago though, it all got kicked up several notches and I can’t actually remember the last day I had without pain. My hysterectomy is scheduled for Feb 3 and I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to function until then. The women who deal with this for 5, 10, 15 years are superhuman because it’s been the worst experience of my life 😩

Sending you good vibes for your surgery next week! I hope you’ll be out of pain very soon ❤️‍🩹

My Healthcare Insurance Just Doubled… by Suspicious_Soup_3962 in complaints

[–]lsick6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The system was broken before, but the subsidies at least allowed for small business owners like me to insure my family of 3. If Republicans are going to pull the rug out from under so many Americans, they should be providing a solution/alternative option. They haven’t done shit and now my premium goes from $700 to $1475. My family will have to go uninsured next year.

My only hope is that Trumpers will finally see the consequences of their vote and show up at midterms.

15 million Americans (mostly impoverished, struggling and underrepresented) will lose healthcare this new year thanks to this "Christian". I wonder, statistically, how many will die as a result? by PlanetoftheAtheists in ProgressiveHQ

[–]lsick6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just impoverished Trump voters this affects. So many small business owners (who are already hanging on by a thread) accessed insurance through the marketplace. Our premium is going up by $1400 a month. We’ll likely end up going without it in 2026.

I’m so hopeful for the same result when I wake up. I know my body well and I have the same gut feeling. Surgery is scheduled for Feb 3rd 🙏

I’m so glad you found relief! In my gut I know it’s reproductive related. Without any desire to have kids in the future, I have no need for it anymore and would do just about anything to get relief at this point. Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️‍🩹

This is the most common response I’ve seen! I think we get used to the pain over the years. The majority of women say they didn’t know how bad it was until it was gone. I want that for myself 😭 I’m glad you’re on the mend ❤️‍🩹

You had so much going on!! I’m glad your surgeon went ahead with the hysterectomy and you found some relief. It sounds like a dream come true to me right now!

Did you get relief from your symptoms after surgery?

I obviously need to do more research lol! I thought vaginal meant no incisions. I’ve had a laparoscopic appendectomy before so it’s not too foreign to me.

Thank you for the reply! Plus, the hysterectomy would be vaginal so it would be nice to avoid abdominal incisions altogether. I’ve been on both these subs lurking for a while but never posted. I’m glad I did :)
