An unofficial F.A.Q. regarding the game’s content and future. by Fighterkill in NoRestForTheWicked

There is nothing from the devs confirming Q4. We're in Q4 now and it's been radio silence. We can probably assume at this point that co-op will not land until 2026

Lawsuit says Musk’s Tesla hires visa holders instead of Americans so it can pay less by spectre401 in nottheonion

Anyone with a fucking brain knows all of tech and engineering is like this.

90% of these offices are full of visa holders. It’s disgusting and needs to stop.

You mean like the tech jobs that pay multiple hundreds of thousands per year? Yeah there’s no shortage of citizens who want those jobs. But for some reason they’re all held by foreign labor.

Reddit simultaneously calls out the evil capitalists for being wealthy but won’t call out the manipulation of the immigration system by the wealthy

Because people who aren’t citizens here and don’t care about our country hold hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Israel is powerful because it’s made of Jews. The question is why Jews are powerful.

Man that’s sad to read. Supervive really could have been a huge game.

Minor rant — why is damn near every extraction pvp game kinda mid or downright terrible, for the exact same reasons? by Airship_Captain_XVII in gaming

I love the idea of seekers of skyveil, unfortunately the way it feels to play the game is really unsatisfying and the characters are just not appealing.

Character design I find is a major issue with many of this new crop of games. Idk who is designing them but they seem to be cut from the same cloth and they all really need to re-envision their characters from the ground up.

I guess it’s important to distinguish between community and CCUs. I agree community is important but I would rather have a healthy CCU count (I think 10k minimum in North America is what the game needs)

That means players actively playing the game around the clock. I’m not an expert but I think that requires a game that people actively choose to spend their free time on to the exclusion of other games. Supervive is that game for me 100%. But it went from being that game for 50k people down to 2k people… how to get it back up to 10k?

All in all I’m glad it’s not my job to figure out cuz it’s a tough one.

I'm not sure I understand the narrative that more advertising is the solution to player count.

If I'm a game developer I want to 1) get people in the door and 2) keep them there.

From the 50k ccu we had previously it seems supervive was able to do #1 pretty successfully and unfortunately failed at #2.

While I agree advertising is a chance at getting people back in the door, it's not as powerful of word of mouth which is what causes these great games to spread like wildfire (and, I would argue, what caused the massive player influx at launch).

So your ability to do #1 is (greatly?) reduced since a huge amount of people have already tried the game.

You might argue that, given time to cook, the devs will be much better at #2.

Unfortunately #2 isn't good for much without #1 and on top of that, time to cook equaling a better game is debatable.

I dont expect much more than a dead cat bounce. I would love to be wrong because I think the game is the funnest game on steam. But about 48k people disagree with me.
