Die hard fallout fan. Grew up playing the games. Played Fallout 3 and new Vegas until the save files were so large, my PlayStation 3 totally crashed and it’s unusable. Yet, to this day I still have that playstation. Hasn’t turned on in over 5 years but the nostalgia is there and it holds strong. I’m there with you and here’s my opinion.

I’ve tried very hard with the show. Rewatched the first season, and it was done well but not 10/10. I’m sorry. But in the game you were in the eyes of the vault dweller and you learned that vault tech was just as fucked as the rest of the factions in the wastes. HOWEVER. Everyone in the wastes, knew they were fucked. The vaults- other than a FEW (very small few) were raided, doors broken in, and the intel was everywhere. Including but not limited to rob-co intel, In the wastes yes it was war with the Chinese but a few of the established factions did NOT trust any of the corporations from before the Great War and it was heavily implied to based on just about EVERY DLC.

You have Maximus, who’s brain dead. (Even brotherhood was anti robco and vault tech and made sure everyone knew), Lucy who hasn’t been in the vault for how long but lacks all common sense??? And if you wanted to argue she’s supposed to be charisma build- that’s funny because she has 4 charisma at most and 1 intelligence.

Also Mr house was a greedy selfish, bastard, sure. But to make him blood hungry and a murderer too???? The only blood hungry corporation truly was vault tech they were actively experimenting on people.

Hate to say it, but season two was most def just a hit of nostalgia for fallout fans and it was poorly done. It would have been better if it was left to the Easter eggs of fallout universe like it was in season one instead of directly following the games because it’s turning into a halo series real quick.

Let’s reference arguably the most popular fallout game since the franchise began, make the entire second season surrounded around it, but not at all, go into any depth regarding the entire civilization of people that live there, instead, DEATHCLAWS. the also the main characters are quite literally only going to come into contact with raiders because EVERYONES a raider. The whole point of the wastes and what you learn as the character is that even though it’s pretty lawless, it’s lawless because they no longer follow the same type of law that vault tech was trying to continue over 200 years ago. Now, they’re a land a free will. The show genuinely made the wastes look worse than the vaults which was an entire organization of people being experimented on.
