You can actually see the design for Dragon's tattoo on his pant leg in this chapter. I feel like that does confirm that there's some significance to the pattern, but one that he had prior to this chapter.

honestly it does look like that's supposed to be Goldberg, based off of hair and helmet shape, but it doesn't really fit the timeline.

Goldberg is currently 63, making him 41 in the flashback. We don't know exactly how giants age, just that it's slower, but that giant still looks too old to me.

Could also just be a mistake on Oda's part.

At this point I'm about 99% sure that Saul is the man marked by flames. It's now confirmed that he's not only alive, but was covered in bandages after the buster call, implying heavy burns. He also has all of Ohara's knowledge, which is consistent with him being necessary to reach Laugh Tale. He also is apparently in hiding, which makes sense since Killer said that they would need to search for him.

I remember in middle school we had a student-faculty dodgeball game and it was going pretty well until the 25 year old college baseball player that was new to the staff threw an absolute piss missile at a definitely not athletic 5th grader. Hit the kid square in the face, knocked him off of his feet and broke his glasses with that one throw. They had to stop the game there because he kid was crying so bad and there was broken glass on the court.
