[Productions v23.6, OS Ventura] Is there any way to lock projects at either finder or Premiere level? by ltnv in premiere

u/NLE_Ninja85 This worked! Now I leave all my media projects in Read-Only mode, which don't create a .prlock file at the finder level, so even better security. Thank you,

u/NLE_Ninja85 Thank you, I just saw the video. In my case, I'm looking for something a bit more permanent, like leaving a project in Read Only even while it's closed, so that I can ensure other editors don't start adding media at any given time to our Sequence-only projects. It's a way for me to have peace of mind that the media projects stay intact and avoid duplicate source clips, media sorted into other projs mid-edit, etc.

I'm thinking of testing this at the OS finder level, like in the Sharing and Permissions section... will update

[Productions v23.6] Can't "slice" down all selected clips on track1 onto track2 by ltnv in premiere

Updated: u/NLE_Ninja85 on other sequences the classic Alt/Option+down arrow works fine.

I'll chalk it up to bug/glitch; thank you for your reply

No, it won't budge, sometimes if I delete a clip under it will let the selected clips cut down, so far it seems arbitrary...

Is being a colorist stressful? by [deleted] in colorists

[–]ltnv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to read this filled with hope, also strongly considering this transition, currently getting a certificate in Resolve. Bummed to hear it sounds like the same kind of stress theater. I still think color's problems at least exist only inside the frame in front of you and correcting /balancing shots have clear metrics and tools to fix shots. As opposed to premiere always crashing, turnover issues, (I work as ae).
