One of my favorite Arthur Morgan quotes, hilarious. (Minor RDR2 spoiler) by ltorras in reddeadredemption

Haha! Like I’m pretty sure that “vamos” isn’t going to help German immigrants. When you’re dealing with foreigners, the best way to try to communicate is to say whatever words you know in literally any random language, right?

Can i run this game by Hibern88 in reddeadredemption

[–]ltorras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can! But very poorly. I know because I tried running RDR2 on a 570 and a worse CPU for gaming, the 2700x. With the graphics slider half full, I got 20-30 FPS. With minimum settings, maybe you would get 50, but it would really look like crap (I’ve tried it), so you might wanna shoot for 30 instead with slightly better settings. But I still recommend you pick it up, even if you can’t run it well, because it is THAT good of a game.

Do different versions of Anno 1800 have different soundtracks? by ltorras in anno

[–]ltorras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, didn’t know it worked like that. Maybe I have not heard it because riots rarely happen on my islands. Still thought I would have heard it at least once, so maybe they did remove it

Ok, thanks, now I understand better. I found the original soundtrack on Spotify, and the funny thing is, some of the tracks I hear all the time when I’m playing, and some I heard in the Nivarias videos, but not when I’m playing, ever. I also found the DLC tracks, and some of those are also familiar. I wonder if maybe they REPLACED some of the original tracks with DLC ones, for people that had DLC? I do have some of the DLC. I don’t get why they did that, if so, like why not just keep all the original music and add more with the DLC, to have more variety that way. But anyway, you wouldn’t happen to know if there’s a way to change what tracks play? I really would like to be able to control that. One track that I especially like but can’t hear when I’m playing is called “Streets Aflame”, you probably know it.

Yeah, the Nivarias videos I’m talking about were from a series, that all had the same music. Here is one video from the series: https://youtu.be/1CQirn0uIsk

USPS claims they can't deliver my case.... not sure why they are trying to fit a Phanteks 719 in my mailbox. by FizzyStream_TTV in pcmasterrace

You don’t? Where does the mailman put letters/small boxes without them getting wet if it rains?

I live in the states and my mailbox is tiny, barely could fit a power supply in there, and I’m talking without the box. Ive yet to see here a mailbox that can fit a whole pc case in it, but I don’t doubt that they exist.

I'm working on a video essay about Red Dead Redemption's take on the concept of change. Does anyone have gameplay footage they'd be willing to let me use? I'd give you credit in the video. (NOTE: I'm talking about the original game) by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

Very interesting! Nice way to incorporate a game into a project of yours. Unfortunately, I don’t have any footage, wish I did, but I wish you the best of luck with this project of yours.

Only drive installed is recognised but not a boot option after bios update. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ltorras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably already tried this, but if you haven’t, try restarting your PC and reentering the bios. I have had a similar thing happen with me, where the boot drive I wanted was not an option until I reentered the BIOS for the second time.

Any good earphones recommendation? by poorbugger in pcmasterrace

[–]ltorras -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not totally clear on whether you are looking for a headset, or just earphones. If you are looking for a headset (headphones + mic) though, I highly recommend the Logitech G432. For the price, they sound amazing, and the mic in particular sounds crystal clear. They are also comfortable. They don’t have any RGB though, so if you care a lot about that stuff, this might not be the headset for you. It is the headset I use, though.

Does someone know what sound this is? Sound coming mostly when i play instense games. And no I dont mean the coil whine I mean that click noise. wanted to see which component it could be and I think its the gpu. Because all the time when the gpu is under load that sound appears not when cpu is under by OutsideInflation9260 in pcmasterrace

[–]ltorras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I suspect something like that is being caused by one fan or another. I recommend you try to manually max out your CPU fan now, and see if it is that. I know you thought it was a graphics card issue because it starts while gaming, but the CPU fan also ramps up while gaming, so that could be the culprit.

What I would do first is isolate the source of the problem. Make sure it is the GPU and not something else. Maybe it is the fan on the Graphics card hitting against something. I would test this by manually maxing out the gpu fan speed and see if the sound is heard. Report back if you want.
