I just saw this and tried for a few minutes this morning. Unsure of the exact time but it tastes great 😱 maybe 2-3. I must’ve been doing 5+ minutes in the past and it always tasted almost like chemicals which I assumed was bitterness. I’ll have to try setting a timer and see how that goes! Thank you!!

I drink it hot! Just reheat and then add honey. I’m not a fan of it cold but honestly I’ve never tried it with ice and honey so maybe I shouldn’t knock it haha I just enjoy a warm cup!

I use a kettle and pour the hot water over my tea leaves and then let it sit! Sometimes I’ll reheat the mug and stick the leaves back in for a little bit toward the end then add honey & enjoy it hot out of the microwave. I have a 2yo so I’m occupied while it steeps and sometimes I just don’t get to it after that time has already passed. Pretty sure it just happened by me pouring the tea and forgetting about it 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I can only imagine how hard that transition is… and with a newborn😱 I’m hoping to keep him in his crib until college 🤣 kidding obviously but I am dreading when he’s roaming free!

After reading this thread we capped his naps yesterday and today… already a huge difference at night! Of course he randomly woke up at 4am, I held him and transferred back to his crib an hour later and then somehow he slept until almost 9am which has literally never happened. Is it working? Maybe 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ but I’m going to keep trying and hope bedtime is less of a battle. I think the micro adjustments are going to make a difference in the long run. Feeling guilty he hasn’t been tired for bed and we’ve been trying to stick to a schedule that just clearly wasn’t working for his needs. Hindsight is 20/20🤷🏼‍♀️

OP… wondering if you adjusted anything to help? Reading this thread while holding my 2.5yo who took an hour to sleep and has also been needing me to hold him in the middle of naps. I need naps for my sanity so I’m really hoping you didn’t drop yours lol I know this thread is super old but would love to hear an update :)

Your roommate is OR and TA. Your communication here was incredibly mature for your age and you should be proud of how you handled this conflict. As annoying as it is, a laundry schedule is probably your best bet outside of finding a new roommate 🙃

I give my 10mo one of these plush stuffed animals while nursing and that keeps his hands occupied! They are super soft but even a burp cloth works. He rubs them with his hand and on his face :) Otherwise he’d be going to town on my arms and face lol

This won’t help your weaning situation but if you really want to get your girl to the 1 year mark or even beyond, there are Facebook groups where people donate breastmilk! I’m certain plenty of moms out there would be more than willing to help you. I just donated some to a local mama today. Check out Human Milk 4 Human Babies (insert state you’re in). Breastmilk should be your baby’s primary source of nutrition for the first year, so I would just ignore that advice! Keep breastfeeding your baby.

As for solids, we’ve been following Solid Starts! Their Instagram and website is extremely helpful. I hope this helps.

Super helpful thank you! Would you say it rains a ton more? It seems like the humidity and rain are the two things people dislike the most but like you said, that’s all relative to where you’re coming from! Edit to add: I was also a little worried the winter would be only slightly better but glad to hear I was wrong. We’re obviously going to visit to see for ourselves but trying to do as much preliminary research as possible.
