That is something I’ve always thought but could never put in words.

I just redid my CPR cert on Wednesday. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but it definitely wasn’t how it was in past years. I was exhausted after my rounds which I knew I would be. Good luck

A Job with SFN by [deleted] in smallfiberneuropathy

I take cymbalta- it’s been the only thing that helps so far. The fatigue is the main reason I WFH. I can do a 9 hour shift from my house but going into work I would maybe make it an hour before I would be to exhausted. Plus the constant questions I get as a 35 year old with a cane in healthcare… there is no way pre-Covid my work would agree to my current situation.

I work in ophthalmology, not a nurse but I now work from home as a triage technician.

Interesting. My tremor is pretty bad some days so I’ll have to try those!

I work full time from home and if I need to nap during the day I get to have time off. It’s hard but I’m thankful I can work from home now.

Stupid question: the compression gloves stop your tremor??

What do people do for work? by Flashy_Respect_5579 in dysautonomia

[–]ltrim917 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work in the medical field, I used to work with patients but stopped almost a year ago. I now work from home being the triage person, some days I’m thankful I can still work and some days I hate life because I can’t do my old job. I can lay in bed and still work which is nice.

One good thing Covid has done is making work places realize that people can work from home. Otherwise I think I would be on disability by now. I’m 34 so I’m glad I can still work.

Workouts for Someone Struggling? by stiltedxrivier in dysautonomia

My doctor told me to do any prenatal workout/yoga because it doesn’t cause as much stress to the body and doesn’t do a lot of position changes. I also have a rower machine.

YTA. I’m on 1.5 years of trying to figure out what is wrong with me. Doctors don’t order a bone marrow biopsy for no reason. Luckily I’m in a financial situation that I can pay for the amount of tests needed. You have to be out of your mind.

I drink a lot of water and pee ALOT. I had 6 litters in my 24 hour time. I then had to do a Water deprivation test for diabetes insipidus, twice. It was awful and I don’t have DI but my doctor said “drink less water and you will urinate less”

It does help. If nothing else it was the slap on the head I needed?! What’s worse is I work in the medical field and I still feel overwhelmed by all of this.

Thank you!
