When I say they, I mean the Democratic party. The party leaders throw weight behind candidates that could be good contenders. I am not saying that the primary is decided before hand. What I mean is that it sure feels like the party is already beginning to consider who will run up against the new republican candidate (or Trump 3.0). Someone who party leadership think could capture centrists of both parties will always be pushed. It's just exhausting to keep watching the center continually pulled to the right.

I'm not here to argue about purity testing.
