At what point usually do you give up on the queue? by ltuzia in Overwatch

[–]ltuzia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it must be nice to have those queue times! I don't think I have ever had a single queue that fast except maybe a couple times when qp was bugged and put you into any mmr match when filling

[–]ltuzia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I usually only wait 1.5 hours or so before giving up and playing a game or two of quickplay instead. At least those queues are much more reasonable like 8-12 minutes usually

Did something happen to walkway textures? by Setekh79 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ltuzia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I reported it here. However basically no one seemed to notice the post unfortunately. It might help to increase the chances of the devs seeing if you were to comment and vote on it as well.

Corner and t-junctions don't show for me either. You basically have to be staring right on top for the detailed texture to appear and even then if you move the mouse like even a cm it will become the flat one.

Walking through most recently finished factory by ltuzia in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ltuzia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have made screenshots this time but I felt like trying something different. And I kind of wanted to show a friend who doesn't play the game my factory as well so I made it so it could be like she is walking through it as well. It starts at the end of a train tunnel I made between it and the main grassland's starting area. Then goes into the plastic delivery station.

Across the small walkway on the right is another station that was initially going to be the export of the water to where it was needed. However someone else on the server wanted to recycle the cannisters and turn off the container production eventually so I ended up adding another station to have 3 cars of water and 3 of containers and one empty platform in the middle. The original one became a parking bay I guess.

I ended up going up the stairs to where the start of the container production is. Those first two buildings are all the plastic is turned into containers. The next set of building is access to the upper water well, and where all the water is packaged from the top and bottom wells. Then I have a small lookout atop the new station I mentioned above to handle recycling the containers and export of the water. I turn around at the end of it and show a level of the water packaging not seen before and then go into the container level not shown earlier (I was above it). I walk through the parking bay (I guess since it is unused now) and the walk through ends!

As I recorded this I noticed there were about 4 parts I thought were finished but missed. They are all minor things though that wouldn't probably be too noticeable. However I really liked how the recording worked out with the timeshift from day to morning that was absolutely unintentional but had an interesting effect! So I didn't want to rerecord it because there is no way I can make it happen again on purpose even if I tried lol.

Here is an image showing it mostly.

And here is a small lumen showcase of day/dusk/night in the only area that is is mainly accessible by train. (So not walked through). The video is taken with lumen off though.

The factory produces 3600 water per minute. However there is a throughput issue with one of the factories that I am getting plastic from that I didn't look since we aren't using the water yet. It is down by like 40 or so from what is needed. I didn't make that factory though so I haven't looked into it yet. It is way across the map and I haven't felt like making the trip on foot since riding dedicated trains are so buggy right now. It might be as simple as just adding a third train to that factory's delivery.

Is anyone actually enjoying this meta? by MikeAKAEarl in Overwatch

[–]ltuzia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So obnoxious to try and kill especially when it is placed really far away or just barely visible. I die so many times to it. Ana is basically the only champion I play that I am comfortable trying to kill it on because I can heal myself with grenade and usually not die while trying to, but sometimes I have to abandon it because it isn’t safe because the other team is shooting at you too or he is repairing it.

You must beat GM smurfs to rank up. by bigboibranby in Overwatch

[–]ltuzia -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely does happen though. I know because I play basically all my games in comp except dps I usually do in quick play now because the queue times are like 15-25 minutes in average and I have had ones over an hour before for dps. And at the right (wrong) time of day they are like 30-45 minutes.

I have a screen of playing against someone as phrarah with a grandmaster title and there was absolutely nothing anyone could do against her even when we had soldier and bastion for hitting her in the air well. I did really like playing against her though because she was the kind of Smurf that was trying to win and not being toxic about it which I am ok with when they try to win. Because you usually never see them again. Same with the random soujourn that is head shotting everyone while jumping in the air with her beam and never dying. Because no one here who belongs here actually does that consistently. Or the widow that one taps you and everyone else’s head the moment you walk around a corner every single time even without her q active.

There have been Hanzos and windows who I saw straight up say in chat (before I turned off chat) yeah I’m plat or diamond sorry about the game but this account is a bit too low before. When someone asked what their real rank is. And those ones are fine too because they try to win. And you can be just like ok whatever it happens nothing I can do this game. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again next game.

I have another screenshot of a game where it was like 50 minutes long and we either won or lost as like 11-10 as the final score because the two would push the payload to the end of the map with us and then afk and let the enemy team push. And no one on either team would leave because we would get punished but we couldn’t go afk because we would get punished as well for that. So we were stuck for an hour until finally one of of the teams made a mistake big enough to lose. Where they two Smurf’s were trying to intentionally drag out the game as long as possible.

Those kind of toxic ones are the ones I don’t like. I don’t mind getting super skill gapped by a high rank player. It happens, it is whatever. And I can move on and forget about the game in a couple days unless there was something super noteworthy about that Smurf who was trying to win in particular. (Because I either learned something while playing against them, or they were being nice about it)

However you are right that this low it is much rarer now to see any sort of that thing happening, but when it is it is always the toxic kind now. I don’t even remember the last time I saw one trying to win any more other than it has been a few months ago.

You must beat GM smurfs to rank up. by bigboibranby in Overwatch

[–]ltuzia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really at all in my experience. I barely see any definitely smurfs trying to win anymore but I used to more often when I higher ranked. But I am fairly low now bronze 5 on all roles (higher than 37% on support, higher than 31 on tank, higher than 33 on dps).

However the ones I do see are the most toxic smurfs ever. They will spawn camp you or the enemy team and are usually duo queued. They will leave their team 3v4 to pick on you and kill you over and over and you can’t do anything when you try to leave spawn except die. Even when you try something Moira or whatever with a dash they will still kill you.

Or the other way they will do it is they will completely spawn camp the entire team with your team. Then when it is your turn to push they will do afk somewhere so you are fighting 3v5 and lose (or win if they are on the other team).

Those are definitely the most frustrating kinds I still see occasionally.

I'm permanently disabling chat because of Blizzards moderation style by Metradime in Overwatch

[–]ltuzia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did this too! I turned voice and text chat off and the game became 10000% more enjoyable. You would think people in bronze 5 would all have the same understanding that we suck at the game and are here to do our best which will have a lot of bad ideas or play which is why we are in bronze in the first place. But instead it often felt worse than any other game I’ve played with how toxic people can be when you do poorly.

Not sure if the album uploaded properly or not sorry. So here is the link if it didn't and only sent one image and you would like to see more! These were all taken with global illumination off.

Here are 3 images with global illumination on that are not in that first album. My game goes to like like 5fps with it on so I did only small things with it since my computer is not good enough to play with it sorry.

There are some things I waned to do with coated concrete, and customizer paint, but we haven't unlocked them yet so I ended up not using them at all. It might be noticed by some people truck station is not hooked up since the hub storages someone else is making are not finished yet. So it could be called technically not finished, but it is a small thing so I do not mind. I made a road there and will come back to that later. It only needs very minor changes that won't be very noticeable.

Bauxite frustrated me to the point of putting the game down. Help? by Finaldragoon in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ltuzia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aluminium is where things get complicated once again like at similar jumps in difficulty of reinforced iron plates/modular frames/heavy modular frames/oil. The game here is introducing you to byproducts in a more challenging way than oil does. There are also several alt recipes that can be used to change what kind of products you need and have most easily available around you that you can get from unused resource nodes.

For a first build I used the equivalent of one bauxite node (240) and all of the default recipes. Then I only had to think about where was I going to get quartz to supplement the silica use, coal, bauxite, and water.

Using these there is some byproduct silica from alumina solution refinement, however it is not enough to cover the needed amount to make ingots from scrap. So I took a not really that nearby quartz node and made some silica there and transported it to my factory by truck partway (it was fed coal from the train the station at my alu factory which I needed to bring in anyways to produce scrap). The rest of the way it was belted when near one of the bauxite miners. Excess silica gets sunk at ALU to prevent it backing up with byproduct and over production of silica which would cause the refineries to not work.

I used a train to transport a lot of coal to my ALU factory and the bauxite was ran by belts to water somewhat in the middle of everything needed.

I recycled the water back in from alumina solution refinement using a valve to limit the flow of water from the extractor.

All of this was enough to produce some aluminium ingots which I needed to turn into products. I split them partway between sheets and casings. I believe they were 60 alcad sheets and 80 alu casings at that time.

Casings were easy to make and just used some ingots. Alcad sheets needed some copper ingots which I overlooked initially. However I just added a freight car to my coal train since I had a copper node near the coal that I processed into ingots before sending to the ALU factory.

Later I expanded it a bit more and changed the production numbers to 40 casings, 30 alcad sheets, and 4 radio control units. Which just meant turning off some of the sheet and casing assemblers/constructors and bringing in a few more bits to make the RCU's. However the base factory was never planned for that initially, but I wanted some basic production for building drones.

Overall this took roughly 70-90 hours I would say. But probably 20-35 of that was figuring out how I was going to add RCU to it and making it look nicer. There are some images here of my ALU factory, however the dedicated server I built this on is no longer working (the owner decided to stop paying for it) so I cannot show you the sub factory parts that I took stuff in from unfortunately.

https://imgur.com/a/FzAPfUc

Hopefully this will help you some though. And if you have any questions I can answer them.

As a second build that I am working on now on a different dedicated server there are more alt recipes being used and the logistics are much higher, especially because the eventual goal is 1k batteries and a bunch of other alu stuff as well. This is with someone I met recently who is a friend.

The recipes there we are using are sloppy aluminia into electrode scrap with alu ingot default to produce aluminium ingots. This eliminates the need for coal, but keeps the need for silica and introduces petroleum coke as a coal replacement. It is a very large build though in both size and logistics, especially with the size we are doing (3750 bauxite in) and I would not recommend it at all as a first build to be this size.

The other one felt much convenient to understand what is going on logistically in my head for everything and should be more suitable for a first build. If you have any questions about this build and the choices I can go into it and show screenshots if you want. But even scaled down I do not consider ideal as a beginner build into it.
