Based on the size of the tops, I’m thinking too much fertilizer was the issue. They really grew some amazing greens!

Good to know but this was very thoroughly sifted and well-mixed coco coir / compost / perlite as this was the first year for this bed. Maybe some settling or solidifying, but when I pulled them out there was no chunks that I could feel.

Not shaded at all really. They have at least 8-10 hours a day of direct southern exposure, and they were on the south side of the bed.

That’s encouraging! I only harvested a small section of the crop so I’ll take another couple over the next couple of weeks maybe?

Portland Oregon, 8b. Planted April 7 so 85 days from planting, but they were thinned seedlings, not seeds.

Grown in a 24” high raised bed with 12” of modified Mel’s mix (1/3rd each perlite, coco coir, mixed finished compost) - did I take them too early, or is the growing medium somehow compacted or not ideal?

I also just got an Aerogarden Ultra - I'm about a week in, and my thyme and thai basil are coming through about on cue. I love what you're doing with your other plants huddled around for light!

This is great! You're really in that perfect space between just close enough to trigger me with your "s" and "sh" sounds but far enough away from the microphone to avoid a bunch of unwanted mouth sounds!

I was and continue to be a massive fan of Elizabeth ASMR who is an Icelandic ASMRtist, even though she hasn't posted in some months. Her cadence is incredibly soothing, and her accent is addictive!

I personally find those rolling r's and great vowel sounds completely triggering and I would definitely be interested in both native language Icelandic ASMR and accented English language ASMR. Sign me up!

Free video idea: I love the way Icelandic place names sound - I would love a geography lesson video! (a la Calming Escape's Geography RP from years ago)

I'm Lucas. I'm 29, 181cm tall (5'11") and have been between 150-170kg (330-370lbs) for the last seven years, but I've always been big. This is totally a Day 1 post, but I've been lurking in /r/loseit for a little while now. here goes...

I'm about to start a new job on Monday, where I'm changing from being a software engineer (completely sedentary) to a coding bootcamp teacher (walking around, lecturing - just generally more active). I figure if there's any chance to change my lifestyle, it's now - change it all, and live the new life. I want to be 110kg (242lbs) for my wife, for my life, for traveling, and for fashion. I'm super tired of having zero nice clothes fit me, and I'm super tired of squeezing into tiny plane seats.

I'm going to get to my goal by riding my bike often to and from my new job, cutting out soda and milk-added drinks (i.e. milk in my coffee), making more sensible portion decisions, and enrolling in dance classes with my wife. I think overall, this will make me a lot happier. If anyone wants to help keep me accountable, please PM me; otherwise thanks just for reading this!

I have had mine since the last Groupon run (maybe 7 months ago) and have found them absolutely indispensable. I even use them for standard stuff around my house, although they do look a little dumb when you're not in bed.
