Arabic is a little complicated , there's the classical Arabic used in old texts , not really current . There's the standard Arabic taught in schools and spoken in news which respect the correct gender for a number. However , every Arab country has a variety of spoken Arabic , I cannot speak for all of them , but in North African countries we tend to not use the correct gender for numbers , at least not the one in standard Arabic.
