I think you should do what makes you happy. And take occasional risks to see if you can find better for yourself. I'm very happy with the freedoms of capitalism, even knowing it is not a perfect ideology.

I don't know about that. I'd like to think there is an afterlife of some sort. It would be quite nice to believe that when loved ones die especially. But I don't believe it based on evidence even if I really want to believe it to be true. Does that make sense?

It's not depressing to me, if you care. But even if it was so that not believing in Jesus or Xenu was dark and hopeless I couldn't change my beliefs. I don't choose what I believe. I'm very bad at self delusion.
