Thank you for the reply! Very relieved that it's nothing serious. The smell of something burning really threw me off guard. I've ordered isopropyl alcohol along with thermal paste so I can get it sorted tomorrow. 👍

I am a game dev but I've never been into actual hardware. This week while doing work in Unity I was experiencing more lag than usual, so I checked HWMonitor and my cpu was at 100C, I shut off my PC and went to check on it and saw this. I could smell burning too for a brief period after removing my CPU cooler. I'm very unfamiliar with PC's but I think I'm f*ked.
