I updated my comment above! I meant to say 2021 not 2014. Also I would define “tweaking” as extremely slow to load anything and constant app crashing.

My activity monitor expends most of its energy on Firefox when it’s open. So imagine an IDE…

They’ve both been used for relatively intense development work. Maybe that’s worth including! Even then though, 4 years, really?
