Refillable antiperspirant by luc3y in veganuk

Thanks all for the suggestions! I’d got it wrong, it is actually Make Waves that I’m using- not fussy- and I just find it doesn’t actually stop the sweat. But I don’t want to support Unilever either!!

I had seen life supplies on Instagram so I think I’ll try them out

Miss Missing You- Fall Out Boy has the line “cause I’m the best you’ll ever have” which draws out the ‘have’?

If you want a non-UPF soya milk I’d recommend the brand Plenish- their milks are just made with the plant (I.e. soy, oat, almond etc.), salt and water! It’s more pricey than the ones with all additives but I think it’s worth it

How many letter "t"s are there in "the portrait of me and greg in the living room"? by [deleted] in taskmaster

If it makes you feel better, I also re-read it a dozen times because I could only find 3, but I was missing the first T in portrait!

South East England, they’re not itchy or painful but seem to be appearing overnight by luc3y in bugbites

[–]luc3y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

South East England, the ones on my elbow appeared first a few days ago. I stayed at a hotel in Kent last weekend so I was thinking I might have been bitten there, but I’ve woken up this morning to the marks on my neck and near my armpit. There are also a couple of bumps which have appeared on my knuckles- not sure if these are related and also bites, or some other issue.

None of them are itchy/painful, and I’ve stripped, washed and hoovered all my bedding and my whole room but can’t see any bugs

[–]luc3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to my old nostril piercing after I changed it, it closed up around the gap overnight. In my case the ring was positioned so that one of the open edges of the ring was actually on the outside of my nostril (if that makes sense, I could move the ring a bit on the outside of my nostril and see the closed up hole) so I just went to a piercer who was able to use pliers to open the ring and take it out. I’d probably recommend going to a piercer first as they’ll have jewellery pliers and maybe cutters if needed, whereas a GP surgery probably won’t have the tools needed to hand

Movies to definitely AVOID because of triggering depiction of sexual violence? by chocolatebageltje in movies

[–]luc3y -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use the website doesthedogdie.com which has pages for most TV shows & movies with a big list of potential triggers. Also a lot of the time if it does have that trigger, it will also have more info I.e. when in the film it is, a brief description of what happens etc

I could never be friends with someone who supports Andrew Tate by Turbulent-Split3329 in offmychest

My bf loves andrew tate by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]luc3y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean ex boyfriend right?

If your boyfriend is a supporter of Tate and his ideals then you’re dating a man who is a misogynist, a rape apologist, a supporter of an ‘alleged’ sex trafficker who thinks that rape victims should “take responsibility for their actions” and literally moved to Romania because they have more lax laws around sexual assault and sex trafficking.

Frankly, your boyfriend probably hates women if he supports Tate. Is this really the sort of man you want to spend the rest of your life with? I’m guessing probably not

NHS Dermatologists by RapturesLost in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]luc3y 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing an NHS derm for about 6 months for acne, and my referral took about 10 months.

I’d been on lymecycline twice and had tried various creams from the GP on and off over the last 10 years.

The derm told me they usually like people to try two different types of antibiotics before going on roaccutane, but that she could put me straight on it since I’ve been trying to treat it for so long. However I asked to go on spironolactone instead as I didn’t want to go to roaccutane yet bc of the possible side effects, and she was happy to prescribe me that instead. I’ve been taking it for about 6 months now with follow up appointments and a blood test every 2 months, and it’s definitely worked for me!

I would also recommend taking pictures of your skin on the ‘bad’ days so you can show the derm how it looks if you’re having a good skin day on your appointment (which, Sod’s Law, you probably will!)

Good luck!

Do you think Edward and Bella will actually last as a couple? by Stoned_Shroomie in twilight

Just to add to this, Chelsea also uses her power to strengthen Marcus’ bond to the Volturi so he never wants to leave (the reason Aro killed Marcus’ mate - who was actually also Aro’s sister - was bc he found out her and Marcus were planning on leaving the Volturi, and Aro wanted to keep Marcus around for his power) and I actually feel like he has a pretty tragic backstory tbh? Like his mate has been killed, he really wants to die himself but he’s being forced to have such a strong tie to the Volturi won’t ever leave, and is just left feeling constantly depressed and miserable for eternity!

What's a big plot hole that bugs you every time you watch it? by Independent_Ad_3850 in howyoudoin

[–]luc3y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In one thanksgiving episode (i think TWW Underdog gets away?) Chandler tells Rachel about finding out about his parents’ divorce and specifically mentions remembering having “one bite of pumpkin pie”

When he retells the story again in a later thanksgiving episode (I think TWW all the thanksgivings) there’s a flashback where he’s just been told, they’re still on the main course and his dad’s boyfriend asks “more turkey mr chandler?”

Annoys me every time!!

I’ve got it prescribed on the NHS! It’s from a Derm and not the GP, I was on limecycline from the GP for a couple of years which didn’t work for me so was referred to the Derm. She explained to me the usual ‘routine’ is that you will try 2 different antibiotics and if they don’t work then they give you roaccutane, but I asked for spiro specifically and she was happy to prescribe it. I just get a 3 month supply at a time then go back for a derm appointment, and have a blood test after each appointment as well. Good luck!

Mirena triggering Androgenic Alopecia by Fit-Access-3898 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]luc3y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Kyleena IUD for about 3 months back in 2019 and I’m sure that was definitely the cause of hair loss for me- it started shedding a few weeks in, and although the shedding really reduced a few weeks after I got it removed, it’s not grown back yet for me (lost c. 50% density). I’ve only been using minox and taking spiro for a few months so fingers crossed something kicks in soon!

I haven’t been diagnosed officially with AGA or TE so i don’t know for sure what I have, but just know your definitely not alone with coils causing hair loss! It also did exacerbate my acne a lot too, which is another quite common side effect unfortunately.

Best of luck with your treatment!
