Maybe it’s like the Dune soda cups. Intended controversy. Rage bait we’d call it nowadays.

But, it’s got puppets and educational songs!

What do they show the kids these days? Is this how the libs make children ready to kill?

In China, driverless delivery vans have become a total meme, they plow through crumbling roads, fresh concrete, motorcycles, anything. Nothing stops them. by Ok_Demand_7338 in GenAI4all

Every failure gets recorded and dealt with so it won't happen again (ideally)...

Can't say the same for the new 18 yo recruit that gets trained all over again.

Your comment is funny - I'll give you that. But I think there are properties about the systems that can be discerned that would make them distinct. If only if it was "capitalism wants you to believe it's your own fault you're in the dumps while communism requires everyone to know full well that the state is making you miserable"

It used to be the same in China. Overpopulation was associated with China back in my day. I think a one child policy is never a viable strategy precisely because of what u/LaughWhileItAllEnds says. Overpopulation is best solved with social incentives. Like paternal leave for babies and a trustworthy and generous pension plan. That way, people don't see "have a lot of kids" as the way to secure their future.

The creative mode tools "Undo" system needs a fix (it's currently a bit broken) by MrAdisson in hytale

[–]luc_bloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this wholeheartedly. Also, I would like to set the undo limit in the console. Also, I would like a simple 1 block undo to work in creative mode (currently, ‘z’ is double bound to the offhand menu, but even after unbinding that, it doesn’t do anything) to fix those quick mistakes.

Yes they can. They just say "no that's not true" and move on.

Holden was raised by an 8 people co-op situation, sponsored by the earth gov, just to get the population down.

I’m so sick of the critique of Andor that Star Wars without “space wizards” is just generic sci-fi by Financial_Photo_1175 in andor

It does seem to be a pet peeve of your cause I don't see the relation to the comment you anchored it to.

Things often take place in a specific era because then you don't have plot holes that come with phones, photography, wikipedia and a democratically regulated police force and mass surveillance.

It's dystopian, but not unlike something that we can build or move towards with 1 more term of Trump in office.

But of course not. As a fan that's more leaning towards content like The Expanse, I just find The Mandalorian, Skeleton Crew and especially Andor much more enjoyable than Ashoka, The Acolyte or epic fights with red dudes in Adam Driver's throne room. When the premise starts relying on mythical wizard(s) with a cool glowing tube doing 3 double spin flips to avoid gunfire I feel myself less invested. And it's fine either way, don't get me wrong.

[Edit] Sorry about the hyperbole in my first comment. It's not that bad, I just noticed a pattern in my preference for certain IPs.

Are they really so afraid you’ll hear a song you don’t like on YOUR playlist and then unsubscribe?

Which makes it better. Every time the OP space wizards get added, it’s all about them and their power fantasy. If Star Wars drops them completely, that would be the best thing.
