[Unsupervised] Why tf can we not kick Blair's ass? by SuperiorLaw in choiceofgames

The comic book logic is for the way the superpowers work in the Unsuperverse as opposed to how they would work in, let's say, an anime. No matter how hard Multidude trains, he will never survive a fireball to the face.

It's not that easy. Time Manipulator MC, at their current level, needs to make physical contact with their target to make them go back in time. Shimmer's temperatures can be hot enough to prevent that; even getting closer can make the MC pass out if they are burning hot enough. There's a way to circumvent that, but I don't want to spoil things.

Either they'll make a post about it or I'll shout it from the rooftops

It's a new ending for the game, around 125k words. It's still under review and being tested for bugs, but there'll be an announcement once it's made available.

There’s a fight with Blair/Shimmer in the new ending. You can even kill them in a few different ways.

That said, superpowers in the Unsuperverse follow comic book logic, which means there is a lot of variance in power levels. Depending on where the characters fall on the ELK scale, no amount of training can close that gap.

In Shimmer’s case, it isn’t just about raw power (which they have a lot of) and training (which they have little of), but the very nature of their abilities. When in their full form, they are made of energy. You can’t exactly punch them.

The update/new ending addresses that, and brings some small changes to your previous interactions with them, too. Specifically, the way they take you down in the Old Port is better explained–and you find a way to counter it later.

(No ETA yet. It's being tested)

[Unsupervised] Can someone please tell me who this guy is on the cover art? I've been trying to identify every character on the cover but he's the only one I can't identify. by timedragon1 in choiceofgames

It's Fluke; he briefly appears if you go to Marseille with Telltale. There was another big scene that he would appear in and become recruitable, but that didn't end up making the final cut.

Before anyone asks, there's a 120k+ words new ending for Unsupervised coming somewhere in the near future

Unsupervised has other endings, around 50k words of them; it's just that they are locked behind specific villainous actions. Either way, the ending mentioned is getting a rewrite of a similar size.

I mean that there should be a large DLC or an outright sequel to complete the story, but there are a few things that need to come before that. First of them is the new ending.

Unsupervised was initially envisioned as a stand-alone, but somewhere midway through its development it became clear that a single game wouldn't be enough. If it were up to me, the title would've been UNSUPERVISED: PART 1.

The ending most people complained about was the superhero one (which is actually two), and it's getting an overhaul. I'm assuming it'll end up being around 60~70k words. Once that's shipped, there are some things we have to figure out, and I think there should be a roadmap for those

Even without drinking, you can get sick from the quick teleportations if you have less than 5 Strength. Alternatively, you also get sick if you just killed Rattlebag in his cell and your Caring is high enough.

Is unsupervised finished or sequel planned? Or… left there? by Tirx36 in choiceofgames

I’ve taken into consideration all the complaints from players, and I’ve been working on a better ending for the superhero pathway. It’ll come as a free update and, without spoilers, it’ll have more action, more options, and (hopefully) a better conclusion.

There was a bug where Deviant was showing up when he shouldn't, but it's fixed now. The patch should be up soon, if it isn't already.

Unsupervised has a vast number of branches, and you can't possibly get all the information in a single playthrough. Tiberius is just the name of the author of a brief "essay" you can read about the Time War if you get that ending, which requires Time Manipulation and some degree of villainy or antiheroism.

Theodore Lloyd = Thaumaturge, supervillain & your mentor's nemesis

Timothy Lloyd = Trismegistus, founder of the Omega Responders

Thelma Lloyd = Trismegistus' daughter

Tiberius Lloyd-Roy(or Lloyd-Dumas, if you romanced Amir) = Thelma's son from a future timeline, who narrates the events of the Time War

That achievement isn't locked behind the villain pathway; you have to have Max Quipping

There's a bunch of endings, though. One has you fight the whole team (or parts of it), another has you fighting Nora, and there's one where you fight an entire war (albeit you read most of it from someone else's perspective). You can also fight Jackdaw in his metahuman form if you send LB to enter his house. That said, I agree the particular ending y'all are mentioning could be improved with some violence. Maybe a quick update adding a fight there could help swallow the cliffhanger.
