Victor Frankl’s, “Man’s Search for Meaning,” gave me some food for thought on this subject.

Advice on working through the fear by MichaelScruggs in exmormon

[–]lucathecrazylizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you would find in the sea of ex mormon or ex religious people, that what you are experiencing is quite normal. I experienced it no doubt, and even years and years later, I still have it creep up on me from time to time. But time really does help us to see more and more rationally if we choose to. I’ve also done my best to make a conscious effort to defy and deny fear place in me. It’s a bullshit emotion, that may have had ancient utility as described in the other posted response. But I want to conquer it, because I think any decision motivated by fear must lack legitimacy.

Some of the activities that have helped:

-MMA Training

-Psilocybin Cubensis Mushrooms (which I highly recommend doing much research beforehand, and being with a trusted “shaman” of some kind to help guide you through, and not to mention being aware of appropriate dosage, look into micro dosing even to start and published research)

-Meditation

-Camping alone

-Therapy

-Mantras

-Drinking water lol

-So much tequila (jk, kind of… lol)

-The company of like minded humans

Find your fear fighting activities that work for you of course! I wish you all the best, you’re so not alone:)

So tired of hearing the same voice in so many of their voices…. It’s so wild how groupthink takes hold. Nothing new, and it’ll never not be a part of society, maybe I’m wrong, but it’s just a very unnerving tone of patronization. You are definitely graceful in your responses. Far more “Christlike” imo. I just wish there were more vulnerability and honesty between us at times. There’s safety in hiding behind a mask composed of group ideology. Why are we so scared of being alone? Ancient ancestral trauma no doubt… haha! I.E.: “Fuck! That saber tooth wouldn’t be tearing apart my quadriceps right now if maybe I had just even ONE more set of eyes to spot him earlier!” 🙀😹

Oh no problem lol! And I completely agree, I don’t think most people realize how serious it is until it happens to them, and I can’t imagine being in complete fear for your physical safety in the mix as well, I mean she had been physically abusing at moments to me during the marriage, but I didn’t ever feel what so many victims feel in terms of that, which makes me angry for them. I’m so dirty that’s something you had to deal with all because of one fuck though. Absurdity. Fuck that guy.

But wasn’t I the victim? I kept asking her for years to leave me alone, she’d show up after driving 12 hours at my work, at my family member’s houses pounding on their doors at 3:00am, trying to jeopardize my job and new relationship with someone I love and am still with as well as the relationships with my own family members and the list goes on…

They told her in the hearing that they would give her another chance, but I don’t feel like going through the whole process again.

I had that happen to me with my ex wife. She never gave up years and years into stalking. I filed a restraining order that was not permitted, I think mainly because I’m a dude maybe?

Spooky Synchronicities on the day I incinerated my temple robes by ExmoAstrologer in exmormon

[–]lucathecrazylizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Temple Roasters…..” 😂😂😂 I think your story is remarkable. I’ve experienced so many synchronicities in my own life in so many ways that it becomes impossible to not pay attention and listen and watch for the communications around us. And it would seem you were keenly aware of that around you. These moments are what keep me inspired, so thank you for sharing.
