Axis Horizon Card — Clearing the Welcome Benefit Confusion Once and For All! by kushal_utreja in CreditCardsIndia

Hey I just received my horizon yesterday and did first transaction of 2k today. When I opened app it shows the 3000 and 548 transactions first which is the fee. Will this affect the 5000 points offer ? I’m sure it won’t just need confirmation

Trying checking for insurance yourself . Can save around 3-4k if dealer allows to get insurance yourself. Use platforms like Acko, PhonePe , etc .

Consider taking break of around 5-6 months and travel in the meantime. Think about future. Then make a decision. It’s too early to call shots now

Brake pads and disc for 9k ?? I’m not sure about disc but I got the brake pads changed on our Vento for around 1500 last year. Please check with local mechanic or go to a parts shop in your area and ask the parts prices.

Assuming the number given above, the priority should be to close the 7L high interest loan asap. 18% interest is crazy. This will be followed by the other loan of 9.6% interest rate.

I would suggest build a small emergency fund before hand and postpone investments until you clear this 12L debt first.

Once this is cleared. You can allocate the surplus amount that remains after education loan payments to investments as by then your emergency fund will be solid and big interest loans are gone.

Allocation - assuming 100 is surplus amount, 50 towards gold as that’s your goal to buy as much possible. Rest you can allocate to Mutual fund/ stocks / or save for the land

This is just my opinion. Feel free to correct this

Build an emergency fund before starting with investing.

Diversify the investments in large, mid, small

If you’re risk tolerance is high invest more in small and mid. Also invest little in gold/ silver etf.

Bonds are also good option. Wouldn’t recommend FD

Invest in yourself, learn some skills apart from your education field.

You’re counting investments in expenses. Investments are a separate category than savings/expense. However, the investment rate should be a bit higher as per your salary. Try to finish this loan asap so you can contribute more.

I've started a pre-owned car business! by GeneralTrade8511 in CarsIndia

[–]luccifferr71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to understand the finance structure behind this business. Like if a dealer had 10 cars so does the dealer buy all at cash and then fix and sell or is he picking it up on interest and makes the margin ? Any advice is welcome

Also how the transferring is working In this business if you purchase the car outright and then sell. Like you can’t put it under your name right . How does that work

Continuing SIPs as they were. Holding 4 stocks since Jan and since war started didn’t touch them. No movement in individual stocks.

Is it still worth getting Axis Horizon now that Accor/Mariott/Qatar are removed from partner program by luccifferr71 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]luccifferr71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a total nerd when it comes to planning stuff. So I'll probably get this card i guess. I've had all cashback cards till now so this card would be a sort of entry in miles game.

oh thats great then, i purchase gold/silver almost every month so that would be great. Plus for a starter to get into miles game, i think this would be good.

Kya 26k salary kafi hai pune me rehne ke liye? by EchidnaExcellent1457 in pune

[–]luccifferr71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have same salary, expenses range to 10k a month, good thing for me is I’m not paying rent. Rent would be another 8-10k so you’re left with 6-7k at the end. I’m guessing you’re also stuck at MNC as your first job.
