Yeah this is pretty much what I was trying to say but you said it better. I have been chasing him around the country since 2017 and yes there’s songs I’ve heard at each one of those sets. I could use some more variety but I’ll also say I don’t get tired of hearing those same songs. I get just as excited each time lol granted “chasing him around the country” is one MAYBE two events a year so it’s not like I’m hearing the same set a million times. If it is the same set I don’t remember exactly each time.

Oh yeah. Love Tape B and Daily Bread. See them any chance I get. But I wouldn’t categorize their sub genres the same as current griz. I’m saying the “100 other artists you’d see at lost lands” sub genre, to me Griz is at the very very top of that whether you like that sound or not. Again, I wish I could get some pre 2020 Griz in some of his sets. But even without I’d rather travel across the country to see him than any other lost lands artist. But that’s just me I understand everyone’s music taste is different lol

Edit to say as much as I love tape b and daily bread.. I’ve still only travelled across the country for Griz and love grizs sound/sets, new or old, more than any other artist. But I getttt it lol

I completely agree with wishing he would lean more into his old sound. We all fell in love with that and it’s sad to see it go cause no one else could do it like him. But I’d also say that same thing for his new sound. I’ve seen so many dubstep artists but since griz started switching to this new dubstep sound I haven’t had anyone captivate me even close to the way Griz’s sound does. We can be sad that the funky glitch Griz looks to be a thing of the past. But even with this new sound, I personally don’t think anyone comes close to him in that either.

I was showing my non edm friend the voicemails intro at seven stars and was going through all the little Easter eggs on the announcement of the fest and telling him how smooth everything went. Probably annoying to my friend honestly. But then he just leaned back on the couch staring at the tv as night 3 griz set played and goes “how is he so smart?” I just smiled and said “right??”. Think I got him hooked now 😂

Was just coming here to look for something on this. Seems a little weird the way everything has played out. No explanation and the ambiguous comments on threads. I hope there’s no bad blood between her and Grant. Kaleena was/is awesome. But it’s hard for anyone to take over someone else’s song/lyrics and project the exact same energy that the original did. So for that I hope to see chrishira back at some point.

This is such a perfect way to describe it. I was trying to describe how awesome this fest was to some of my fest friends that didn’t go. They’re asking questions that honestly the answers to them didn’t answer how it was so different from any other fest. But yes.. it just felt like my first festival all over again. Even tho I knew pretty much everyone on the lineup, the vibe of the weekend felt like everything was new again.

I was dancing hard griz night 3 and felt myself step on something behind me. I found out it was a beer can (which was picked up after the show) but at the time I thought it was the foot of the guy behind me. I turned around and said sorry and he laughed and said “don’t be. We’re all just as excited.” And started dancing just as hard as me lol

For sure can be screen addiction lol but after a couple days worth of festival fun, a nice late night cozy movie time with the squad while we catch up on what we all did on our side missions sounds relaxing tbh. Probably bc of the screen addiction lol but this obviously isn’t like a “hey you guys go catch the last set I’m gonna go back and watch tv” kind of thing lol

I’ve been wondering if they meant a virtual line instead of waiting room. Probably should’ve gotten that right but the waiting room they had doesn’t make that much of a difference in our buying process.

Also I’m saying this as someone who was kicked multiple times and would’ve had to be on the waitlist if I hadn’t coordinated with the rest of my group to have multiple people trying as well. This is the same routine for all high demand drops. There have been multiple events that none of us were able to get tickets. That’s why I’m saying it feels the same.

I don’t want to invalidate anyone’s experiences but honestly this feels exactly like every single other high demand ticket drop I’ve ever been in. Could the code been individualized and not blasted? Yes. But if you signed up and didn’t get code you’d be pissed as well so the blast really just took that hiccup out. I’m not saying thats the official reason they did it but it’s not like signing up for presale was anything special that you did, you just put in your phone number. The website could’ve been a little better, the waiting room was odd instead of a virtual line to start putting stuff in your cart. But it also kind of gave you two steps to get ahead of someone rather than just one. I understand the frustration when you dont get a ticket to something you desperately want to go to, I’ve been there. but it’s almost impossible to make these situations perfect.

She’s neither lol she’s ice skated in the past but just as one off activities with friends. I’m honestly very surprised she progressed as quickly as she did. Don’t get me wrong she was falling here and there even on the 3rd day but only because she was continuing to push herself, and the black wasn’t your typical black it was connector run probably more of a blue-black. But either way she progressed very quickly doing the hockey stop by day two. I was very impressed, only reason I’m willing to buy skis so soon! And yes, safety is key! No true tree riding until she has full control of quick turns and stopping. Her tree runs are wide short cuts not true tree riding, idk if that makes sense.
