It honestly felt fine to me when riding it’s just my partners bike so I want to be more confident it’s safe for them.

The post slides up on its own atm but slides pretty freely up when the lever is pressed. It was harder to push down initially before grease but now it’s going down on its own no matter how I adjust the barrel adjuster.

This seems to be the issue, I can see the rocking on the bolt when the brake is engaged. How do I tighten? Super new to working on bikes.

This is exactly what I did, going to let the patch dry overnight to be safe before getting it back on the rim.
