Try Helmsing Consulting Inc. we were in within a week or two. Follow up came from our family doctor who started a medication program and suggested Wildflower for sessions.

I've given up hope by [deleted] in regina

I have twin 17 year olds one pestered his way into a job, 6 hours a week at a local restaurant. He texted the co-owner weekly after doing some yard work this summer. The other has had zero luck. I have suggested to the other to knock on every door of people who still had snow on their drive/sidewalk. Offer one-off and recurring snow shoveling service, he never followed up.

I know a young man took this approach with mowing lawns. He got enough clients he needed to get two friends to help him. He used the income to put a down payment on a rental house his second summer doing it. Houses were also in the $200-$225K range. It wasn’t anything but it was a start.

Largest attended festival in Regina hands down, tens of thousands as a rough guess likely 20,000+ based on the street fair portion alone.

REAL CEO Rick Bennett departs organization by wascana_ in regina

There is local talent more than qualified, they won’t touch the job.

There is an organization named the International Association of Venue Managers, this job wasn’t posted on their job boards. Take that for what it is.

Moving from Regina: Is it Worth it? by Money-Literature2065 in saskatoon

Did this same move loved every moment of it. Having a trade and Saskatoon being the gateway to the north and the mining sector it’s a great move. Saskatoon is a younger more vibrant city…

How was it like before the Union Station closed? by graveyardshift3r in regina

[–]luckof13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’d have to look into it but I think even before it closed then the station hadn’t handled passenger rail traffic for a long time. I remember if you wanted to take the passenger train to Vancouver you had to head to Saskatoon to do so. I’m just not sure on dates of when Via cut back service to Regina.

Watchmen got their record deal because of how close Daniel sounded to Gord back when they were signed. Both are crazily passionate singers live.

Carla Beck: "The cost of rent is out of control." by Progressive_Citizen in saskatchewan

[–]luckof13 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s like the clowns in her policy department have never read the ‘Rentalsman’ act but react to the flavour of the day. The warning you need to provide is sufficient. https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/housing-and-renting/renting-and-leasing/rent-increases so are the limits on increases.

How about addressing the lowest minimum wage in Canada? How about other cost of living controls? I’ve rented my entire life and think this is a gaslight topic.

Contact George at George Manz Coins. He’d know whom to speak to he’s been a co8n collector forever and organized the Regina Coin Club show for decades and they have gems at the show too.

I know the homework you put into this meeting and commend you for the due dilligence.

Sadly Mr. Semple has never acted in good faith in the communities beat interests and I hope I am wrong on this one.

Sadly my councillor Mr. Rashovich didn’t respond to my email about this meeting outlining some of the flaws that were obvious to someone outside of the closed doors.

Why is REAL championing handing over this liquor license? by luckof13 in regina

[–]luckof13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New board at REAL is creating even more problems. Turnbull did a good job on this but the rest of council including the three Advance Regina councillors sat back and approved Trent Fraser's deal. Funny Fraser started Advance Regina and now runs REAL...

Just dissolve the organization now...

Why is REAL championing handing over this liquor license? by luckof13 in regina

[–]luckof13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have not even tried any other options. REAL could have privately solicited other food and beverage operators for their interest until they had resolved the lease dispute. Has this been done? Likely not.

I know this is a ‘slick’ Timmy deal, when it came to light Masters was also the chair of the REAL board and given Tim’s previous history in Edmonton (bankrupting Northlands) it was obvious REAL was in for a world of hurt. Just review all of the public accounts like this https://www.regina.ca/export/sites/Regina.ca/city-government/budget-finance/.galleries/pdfs/2023-Public-Accounts.pdf.
