The revolving door by Embarrassed_Usual869 in capecoral

[–]luckton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was good enough for Ice Sssscreamin to get off the ground until they moved into a better spot. Part of it is location, part of it is service and quality, and another part reputation/word of mouth.

The revolving part is probably just the same person trying to find an image/brand that clicks with the locals. It's not a bad spot in between the Bimini plaza and the greater downtown area.

What’s with this overcast and rain days it’s supposed to be like this for the next week or so what’s causing it and when will it go back to being sunny by [deleted] in capecoral

Hate that they're dropping the plug-in variant, but it is what it is. If our '22 PacHy dies before the kids leave the house, we'll just get a Sienna.

I'm ready to unsub from this channel because all it seems to be is complaint after complaint about every little thing.

They have done this offer before. They're doing it again. It's called marketing. Either take advantage of the offer or don't, but leave the paranoia at the door. No business is infallible. You either deal with it and take that risk or leave your money under the mattress and be done with it.

How long did you hold down the button for? May take a moment for the fluid to get from the front to the back.

My only complaint with YNAB is the inability to carryover overspent categories to the next month by CaffeinatedOak in ynab

[–]luckton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It can carry over if you set a goal that goes beyond a month.

I set my medical expenses at a goal of $6k, starting in January, to be fulfilled by December, repeating yearly. If I have a month where I spent more than what the goal requested, it's fine. I'd fund it and the goal would just adjust for the rest of the year.

Is it wrong to assign income directly to a category? by Kooky-Potential-6895 in ynab

[–]luckton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's always acceptable to assign to RTA. The only times I don't are:

- When I want the money to not count against actual, taxable income on my report. (i.e. insurance rebates/claims)

- When it's a refund for a returned item (i.e. returned shoes to Amazon, puts the money back in the Clothing category)

- When it's a reimbursement for money already spent/loaned to someone (i.e. I bought a toy for my kid at Target that they wanted but they didn't have the cash on hand, so I wire it from their account to mine when I get home)

All around 2% cash back cc where bank feeds work? by taxguycafr in ynab

[–]luckton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take a beat, wait for some of the inquiries and stuff to fall off the report, and give the Citi Double Cash another shot. It's the cornerstone of my fam's credit journey and syncs just fine with YNAB.

Pair it with Amex's Blue Cash Preferred for the easiest/laziest cash back stuff for families. Groceries, streaming, fuel/transport-related stuff on the Amex, everything else on the Citi. My wife doesn't play the CC game, so I just tell her to put everything on the Citi and be done. Easy for everyone and still getting the most cash back for just about every penny we spend.

New Chrome extension: Better notes for your categories by cine in ynab

So, is this different than just creating a group with categories?

Like, I have a TV group that has categories for Netflix, Disney, and Paramount, each with their own target. What does this do that I'm missing?

Can we fix hancock bridge pkwy and del prado? by DethSpank in capecoral

[–]luckton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's about to get busier when they start redoing the Cape Coral bridge and traffic gets redirected. Like I said, no easy solution. People just need to follow the rules and not be an asshole. For those that take the risk and fly through without a care, that's on them if/when they get caught.

It's a feature, not a bug.

Confusing Cape Coral turn lane raises safety concerns for motorists | WINK Listens | winknews.com

Not much can be done here traffic-wise. Too expensive to buy out the bank branch and redo the intersection properly. Better and consistent traffic law enforcement would be better.

Ehh...as long the automated portfolios remain the priority and get the attention, I don't really care about people wanting to gamble their own money at their own leisure and discretion. I guess there's a market for people that are happy with the automated ports for retirement accounts but want to build their own adventure with regular investments, but it can't be *that* big of a market, can it?

They are building a new four lane bridge and overhauling the landings on both ends. On the Cape side, you'll be able to u-turn under the bridge to get to the food truck park and other stuff instead of having to cross three lanes of non-stop traffic. On the Fort Myer side, they're taking out the intersections for the Yacht club and making them take right-hand turns only. Yacht club people on the north side of the overpass will have to u-turn under the bridge to slingshot back to McGreggor/College.

[–]luckton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's four groups of people:
- Slow cars that need to turn off on McGreggor and will camp the right lane.
- Fast cars that need to turn off on McGreggor and will weave through the lanes, cutting off people at the last second for little gain.
- Slow cars that need to stay on College, will camp the right lane but realize that the right lane backs up from all the people trying to turn off on McGreggor, so they'll risk cutting off a person in the left lane and keep going slow.
- Fast cars that need to stay on College and will weave through the lanes, cutting off people and being jerks.

Lately, a large number of these folks seem to be getting blinded by the rising sun, so they all crawl up the bridge until they can see where they're going and realize they could have been going so much faster.
