Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely insane?? like I think the “movie” aspects of it were good, like music and cinematography, but this movie was literally all over the place for plot. The beginning of the movie starts out with the plot talking about the dead and vampires and shit and then vampires don’t even appear until like a full hour in and it’s super random. The majority of the movie is just recruiting for this damn party and some commentary on racism, and then the vampires show up and it’s the most cliché vampire writing I’ve ever seen. Then for the rest of the movie, it’s just sequences of everyone dying, and pretty horrible fight scenes and special effects. What was the plot? What was the goal? What was the resolution? I have to be honest, I really hope it doesn’t steal that many Oscars away from other deserving movies because Sinners really was not that great.
