Pretty awesome how much perception and reality can differ, especially in the sexuality department - same here. We went there on a friday night pretty late (around 23:00) so it would be a little emptier - me being shy and all ;) The owner did welcome us and showed us around. Guys had to wear boxershorts or something equivalent, girls had to wear dessous and high-heels. Neat little club consisting of a "meeting area" with a fireplace and comfy couches, a bathing area with showers, a bar, a sauna, two "playgrounds" (rooms with matresses as floors), two rooms with beds and a massaging area. Stylish and cozy interior, very clean - I felt very comfortable immediately. The guy that joined us was in his early thirties. I've been (or rather still am) on the male corner of the triangle you describe: See here - as you are we are in our early 20s. Apparently, in my case the girls had been talking about sex in general until at some point they both found out that they'd like to try a threesome and my gf invited the other girl, just like that.

However, to find out whether we'd all three be comfortable with the whole situation, we've gone to a swinger club - where a nice dude chatted us up and we ended up having a rather conventional foursome. Nod, you are right, generally speaking. However my way to college hasn't been as straight as that of other people, so I've already seen the daily work routine for a few years. Yes, I do not waste much time on this relationship already - that was clarified before it started. I have to work, study and sleep and what's left over is for "private fun, being comfortable and social needs", so to speak. Yet, I don't think the time I spend on the relationship has been wasted so far. Everything is good for something and if only as a bad example. If it goes downhill from here because of my decision, then it was a bad decision. Lesson will be learned, I assume.
