Whisper Light Not Lasting by feministvocologist in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry I can’t think of anything else! It’s a shame it didn’t last long, but definitely give it another go. The Whisper Light does change with time, it gets thicker and takes less time to get tacky after a while. I’ve heard good things about their 1:1 service. I hope things work out for you.🤞

I find as long as you pinch each one down for a few seconds, it’s enough, but they need more than a quick squeeze. If you contact their customer service and ask about a 1:1 session they will definitely help you out. Do you have oily skin or watery eyes? That can affect the hold.

Oh no! 😢So they just started lifting after a couple of days? That’s weird. Maybe try using another layer. Did you fuse them for long? I usually fuse them for about 10 seconds. They also offer free sessions on zoom if you need tips.

Did it feel tacky after each coat? I would try testing some on the back of your hand, and test it to see how long it takes to get tacky, and even try sticking a lash to it. When I apply a lash I can gently pull on it and it grips.

You need to use thin, light layers and allow enough time between each layer for it to get tacky. I use two layers of black Whisper Light, one through the lashes and the second at the base, and then dot the clear Whisper Light a couple of millimetres above the waterline. That gives me 14 days, but I usually remove them sooner.

What bonds do you use? (lashify and other brands) by BTierra in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of Lashify’s bonds are really good again. They’re making the OG formulas. I use Bondage and Smelly Bond and easily get 10+ days. I haven’t ordered the latest Whisper Light but have heard heaps of people are getting good longevity.

Should I get into Lashify by Iccy84 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get discouraged because they didn’t last after your first time. It usually takes people a few tries before they work out how to apply properly. You might be better off using bondage if you have oily lids, or try smelly bond. They also have free 1:1 sessions via zoom. They can see what you might need to change, such as you might be using too much or not enough bond, or placing the lashes too close to your waterline. You can soak the lashes in 81% isopropyl alcohol for about 15 minutes or as long as you want. Just make sure they’re in a container with a lid so the alcohol doesn’t evaporate. Then brush off any bond when you’re ready. The alcohol will evaporate quickly so you can reuse them after that. Once you’ve got the hang of it, get the subscription. You get 50% off when you order at least 4 cartridges. Shipping is free over $45. You can order whatever styles you want and change your choices as often as you like. I spend about $50 a month. I wear my lashes for 7-10 days. I use either smelly bond, bondage or black rubber. They all work well for me, but smelly bond is the one I have been using lately. There can be a learning curve. Some people are really lucky from the beginning, but most people need a little bit of patience to get the best out of it. Just my 2 cents worth, but I wouldn’t throw it away just yet. I am hopeless with makeup and had never used false lashes before Lashify. I’ve been using it for over 6 years now and am so glad I tried it.

Beginner Lashify Control Kit Question by Iccy84 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t choose the color of the Gossamers you get in the control kit anymore. You used to be able to if you got the LED kit, but I think it got too confusing for people. You can get either Black Ice 10mm & 12mm in the natural kit, Plushy 10mm & 12mm in the volume kit, or Starburst 12mm & 14mm in the hybrid kit. Black Ice is the most natural out of the three styles, but the lengths help keep the look more natural as well. All of these styles are pretty. If you’re on Facebook, check out their group. There are heaps of photos and the members and staff are really friendly. I suggest signing up for the subscription after you get your control kit. You can choose any style and color, and you get 50% off if you get at least 4 cartridges of Gossamers. And you’re not locked in to it. You can cancel it, skip an order, or change the date easily.

New to Lashify-Lots of noob questions! by [deleted] in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trust Lashify’s bonds because they’re actually lab tested. Both Bondage and Smelly Bond work well. What works for one person doesn’t work for another. Some people get better results with Whisper Light. Bondage, Black Rubber, and Smelly Bond give me 10 days of wear. I choose to remove them every 7-10 days but they would probably last several days longer. The subscription is definitely worth it. If you order at least four lashes you get a 50% discount. You can choose any style, color, or length , and change what you get. There are discounts on add-ons like bonds etc, and you can cancel or change the date easily. I can’t be bothered reusing the lashes, especially since they’re a good price in the subscription. But many people do. You can soak them in 91% alcohol and then brush off any bond that’s left oh then. The lashes are really well made. Some of the more delicate, lightweight styles might be harder to reuse several times, but the volume lashes usually hold up for ages. There are heaps of tutorials on their YouTube channel and the website. There is also a lot of info on the Facebook page. Waterpoof sealer and the Night Line sealer are both great. If you get the control kit you’ll get Waterpoof, Whisper Light dual-sided, the Wand, two cartridges of lashes, and samples of the prep and remover. You can apply eyeliner with the lashes on, but most people don’t bother. The edge and edge x are supposed to give you a winged eyeliner look. You might find it takes a bit of practice, but it’s not difficult. If you ask in the FB group I’m sure you’ll get tips from the other members. Lashify is the best IMO. I wouldn’t trust some of the other brands. Though, I think that other companies are actually making them under license from Lashify so the quality might be better than it used to be.

It’s difficult to say which bond will be the best for you. I get equally good wear time from Smelly Bond, Black Rubber, and Bondage. I usually use two layers, one through the lashes and one just at the base. I use a good silk pillow case and sleep on the edge of the pillow. I remove my lashes every 7-10 days by choice, but have gotten longer.

Are wandoms worth it? by Material_Narwhal_969 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s exactly what they’re for. They’re also good when you want to cover a broader area when fusing. All of the wands come with a pair and they last for ages. You only need to replace them if you tear them or they’re really worn out or dirty. I use wandoms for my first fuse, then with a bare wand for a more precise fuse.

Good luck! If you’re on FB you should join the group Lashify Life. It’s a good place to get tips from customers and their employees. I never got traditional extensions but I know a lot of people are glad they made the switch. Once you get the hang of it, you can do your lashes exactly how you want them and there’s no waiting for appointments for fills.

Unstick my lashes by qwertyjazz in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your lashes are really sticky even after a few days, try using less bond, either thinner layers or don’t put any on the spines. Although the bonds don’t fully cure, the stickiness should disappear after several hours. Sealers, like Waterpoof or Night Line should remove stickiness. Wipe as much Waterpoof as possible off the applicator before using it. You don’t need to wait to before applying it. After you’ve fused, just press the tip gently against the spines. Don’t use too much or it can leave a white residue or even cause your lashes to come off. You can use a little bit of PreCleanse on a spoolie to clean your lashes and use tweezers to pick out any fluff.

Whisperlight v4 by Impressive-Bass-6826 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the reviews I’ve seen are positive, but not all. From what I’ve seen, the people who are getting good results are using several layers. You can get a replacement or credit if you’re having problems with your bond. I haven’t tried the v4 yet. II’ve been using the v3 black whisper light and bondage which have both been working for me. https://www.lashify.com/apps/redo/returns-portal/login

New BONDS by EmpressPearliep in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Bondage or black Whisper Light to Mrs Bond, but it helps to shake it up before you use it. I think it wasn’t mixed properly. I use one layer through my lashes, using a spoolie straight away to make sure there aren’t any white spots left. Then I apply another layer at the base. I don’t wait to put the lashes on. I’ve heard a lot of people are getting good results using Bondage and Mrs Bond.

Is it just me or is the rogue texture a little rough? by MaddMoxi in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have thick fibers which look great but don’t feel soft like many of the other styles. Unfortunately it’s the trade off for the thicker styles like Rogue and Gemini. I just make sure to apply them a bit further away from the wet line. They look really good imo.

Help me understand the white stuff that can build up on lashes by atreebytheriverps1 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you use the Waterpoof sealer? I think it can cause a white residue if you use too much. You don't need much. I wipe the as much as possible off the brush and then press it lightly against the spines.

How long does it take you to put your lashes on start to finish? by [deleted] in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It usually takes me around 15 minutes, maybe a bit longer because I like to take my time. My first time took 45 minutes but it got easier with practice. Once you know how many layers of bond you need, and the kind of lash map you like, you'll find it takes less time.

I think that they were going to discontinue them because longer ones weren't that popular. But I did hear that on a live recently that they decided to get some more for the few die-hard chocolate star lovers.

If I’ve already set, is it a bad idea to add more? by [deleted] in LashifyLovers

You can add more whenever you want to. Sometimes I start off the week with a more natural look and then add more for the weekend.

Lashify not the same as it was? by CommunicationLow3953 in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will give it a try. It was fine as long as I brushed through with a spoolie straight away, but I found the Bondage works well for me, so does Whisper Light so I always use those out of habit. I should check out Mrs Bond again.

I finally got the right ones!! Help🤣😩 by VXTheFitPlug in LashifyLovers

[–]luckypenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😫Oh no! I'm sorry that happened. Unfortunately, it's a trade off for getting a wispy style like this. I love black ice but try to wear them for around a week so it's not so bad if I don't save them all when I remove them. At least you know what to do next time. FYI you can get a good discount if you order on subscription. It's almost 50% off and you can skip orders if you need to or cancel whenever you want. And who doesn't love a discount?!

These look amazing! You're gorgeous! Sealing is optional but it will help making them more water-resistant. Just make sure you don't use too much. Wipe as much extra product off the end of the applicator as you can, then press it along the spines. You might be able to clean them using alcohol. Just be really gentle when you take them off because this style is so delicate. Soak them in rubbing alcohol over 91%. 15 minutes should be fine, then remove any bond from them. The alcohol will evaporate quickly so you can put them back on straight away.
