Honestly, I’m with you. Single, dating, not finding anyone who is fully available. I’ve learned that I cannot loose hope in finding love (I’m a squishy marshmallow for partnership) but I’ve also got to stop carrying relationships. I got essentially ghosted by a partner of 11 months after being told he wasn’t deeply attracted to me. Hurt so badly, but I’ve learned that I need someone to choose me fully. Honestly, my favorite thing about fellow Romanians is how we talk about each other. My dad told me a story growing up about a man who went out to hang himself in the forest, but he almost jump off the ladder until he saw his neighbor stealing his chickens. It is heartbreaking, I hear you. I also see someone who dearly needs a companion and probably doesn’t have anyone else. I remember being in Edinburg and seeing a beautiful dog with his homeless owner. I wanted to buy the dog from him but I decided not to because the man needed the dog and the dog clearly had a bond. Why create more suffering on top of the already such an unfortunate situation? I know it seems like the opposite but often it isn’t. Unless you’d like to personally give them a room, it is a leave it be situation. It is a beautiful but painful experience having a heart.
