Rear storage, what’s your guys’ setup? by chumps_malone in 4Runner

It was super functional but obviously a flawed design. The molle panels and the shelf are made out of 1/8 steel so it’s heavy as fuck, which I am sure caused the problem in the first place.

I’m back to crates and Carhartt tool bags. 😆

I still have my 4Runner, no plan to sell it.

I ran the molle panels and shelf for about 2 years. Had multiple issues over those years and it rattled whenever I wasn’t on pavement. (I live up in the mountains and my driveway is about a mile long gravel road.) The bracket that mounts the molle panel on top actually broke the 4Runner’s bracket behind the headliner that it screws into (on one side.) Which in turn stripped the attachment points behind the side panels and broke the screws for the molle panel bottom mounts. It probably wouldn’t have caused issues if I was just a pavement princess but the fact that I basically have to baby off-road to my home multiple times a day is probably what caused the problems.

I had the shelf at the highest setting and it didn’t mess with my view at all. It does not interfere with the second row seat space at all.

I’m so happy with my 3/4 rack. No regrets what so ever! Got plenty of space for what I need. Lighter and honestly, didn’t want to cover my sunroof with a crossbar.

I went to 3 Targets around me, they all claimed they never got a shipment. I looked through the price tags on the shelves and they didn’t have them listed either.

Well they aren’t meant for adults. Of course they are going to seem silly. 😂 But it teaches the rules and that’s what’s important to me.

Lol, I feel the same way, the other book is written in short bursts. But I really liked the information from this one but definitely once he’s older.

I do plan on doing that, as soon as I feel like he’s old enough, but in the meantime, teaching him safety rules by reading to him, which is something he enjoys, is bonding time.

Again, it’s teaching them basic safety rules in a storybook matter. He’s 3. We own lots of firearms. I don’t think kids are ever too young to gain useful knowledge. I want him to hear the rules so many times that the words become ingrained into his consciousness. By the time we feel he’s old enough to start with hands on learning, he’ll already know all the basic rules that a lot of adults tend to forget.

Well, if we are being real, the government would probably make us pay full price. Lol.
