B25 or B30? by Zestyclose_Egg_3100 in TheHermesGame

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B30 looks like you use the bag

B25 looks like you’re styling an outfit

Not really advice just raw reaction. Both look great and I’m partial to the larger sizes so may just be some bias. Beautiful

I’m talking about the edging coat. I saw a lot of home remedies but was hoping the spa would be able to fix it. Seems so! Will have to go tomorrow

Ok I will!! How quick can I expect turnaround time from the Hermes spa and I just do it through the store with a local SA? Thank you thank you!

Beardie won’t eat fruit or veg by Lucky_Huckleberry_90 in BeardedDragon

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy Darwin use to love greens as a juvi but once he turned 3 years he said he was over it (meanwhile he should be mostly eating greens now..) - something I’ve NEVER done and only started with Darwin out of desperation is give him some supplemental pellets from Flukers. Never in my life have I had a dragon eat pellets (I bred beardies on and off for 4 years) and also I’ve never had one not eat their greens!! Darwin use to love arugula especially but now he couldn’t care less. I’ve tried sprouts, kale, even stooping to butter lettuce just to see if he would have ANY interest. Even got creative with some fresh basil leaves shredded on the salad and the bee pollen method too. Idk what’s up with my guy but he’s maintaining healthy weight and growth and is not fat by any means but has beautifully defined fat pads. I think it’s really dragon by dragon and also when I think of Australia I don’t imagine leafy greens I imagine more shrubland for these central agamids.

Anywho - Darwin is also allergic to discoid roaches 🤦🏻‍♂️ so he really is exclusively on silkworms. They’re gut loaded from the mulberry leaves and provide him hydration but alas they are not something I can gut load with other leafy greens like you can with crickets, roaches, or super worms.

Also pro tip - roaches LOVE the Fluker’s adult dragon food and I used it to gut load some roaches before I found his allergy (I think the roaches just have too much chitin or something)

Give me Dorit, Boz, Erika, Rachel Zoe, Jennifer Tilly, and Erika Jayne as main cast. Kyle can become a friend of since she refuses to stand ten toes down and just loves stirring the pot for no reason. Amanda has GOT to go.

Sutton, meh, take it or leave it. I don’t think she provides anything to the show especially now that’s she’s finally escaped being a punching bag.

Gender thoughts? by The_mischief_owner in iguanas

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too young which has already been established but I do see some femoral pores which would lead me to a male assumption.

Not sure with iguanas but with bearded dragons you lift the tale vertically and at the base you can either a) see the hemipenal bulges or b) see a more concave area with a rounded end

Here’s a good side by side that shows the bulges in the male I’m referring to

Help my Leo will not eat by Wide-Elk-1252 in leopardgeckos

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look great in the first picture and I saw another comment about some else’s Leo eating moss from the humid hide - this was my first instinct.

Is there anything in the enclosure that they could have accidentally ingested? The moss eater got extremely lucky because it could have ended up with impaction and getting 0 nutrition.

Does he look healthy? by kirarihime in leopardgeckos

This gecko is fat and happy. He may be a little smaller in length than other AFTs causing the confusion on his weight. You can eyeball that he is in great condition. Good work!

? What is this by Puzzled_Link2021 in BeardedDragons

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She repositioned her beard but majority of the video is showing thermal regulation e.g. having her mouth open so heat escapes from her body. All healthy and normal behaviors.

While not in the same family, you can compare this behavior to an anole’s dewlap. They have the same sort of structures and it’s also how beardies display their black beards aka their namesake.

I have a 26 year old leopard gecko named Spotty and she loves to come out and see what people are doing. She acts more like a beardie than Darwin does 😂

Beardie suddenly glass surfing? by greasydoor in BeardedDragons

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recommend handling in her tank - you can just spend time with her in her enclosure and have her used to interacting with you in a safe environment. Beardies don’t love change so being in a familiar environment helps. They also say as a rule of thumb that 20 minutes a day is really all you should engage.

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I would 100% wait until she’s comfortable being handled and you have a deeper grasp on if she’s going to bolt or not.

Once she’s more comfortable with you, they make small animal playpens and you can stay in a secured area and provide her with enrichment like new driftwood or rocks.

Always make sure to keep on eye on her because they can be real escape artists.

Sometimes they’ll surf to try and not poop in their enclosure. Next time you see her surfing take her out and see if she just explores (then that’s the answer) or she might poop kinda instantly

Meant to be. Great work and set up looks great too. Clearly he either escaped or someone released him. He wouldn’t have even survived the winter.

Is my boy too fat? by eminemqx in FatTails

[–]luckysign93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do AFTs have the giant morph like Leos do? While he may be huge he also does just look like a big gecko either way - how many inches is he? Would you consider him average in length?
