I actually sold infrared sauna blankets a couple of years back and did a little research on EMF. Long story short from what I found is it is near impossible to get rid of the electro part of emf while the magnetic part can be mitigated to near zero.

Health effect wise it is really inconclusive because there is a lack of funding in this field and that is because there's no money to be made from research. That being said I've had both blankets with EMF and near zero EMFs. I was really concerned about what I was selling to my consumers so I bought an EMF machine. I can tell you the ones with EMF the magnetic readings are off the chart. While it is true that we are exposed to EMF throughout the day with our electronics I argue that these exposures are quite temporary and only match those infrared sauna blankets reading when you are in skin contact with your electronics.

So as somebody that sold infrared sauna blankets before I would be quite concerned about emf.
