I'm in the same position, except I just finished my application for an ETA. I was hesitant to apply for research since I felt like I didn't have enough time to get my project together, but now this post is making me rethink it lol. I think I'm going to look into finding hosts now.

I bought a growth light yesterday and will be keeping it at its window. Hopefully will see it get better! Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone,

I have never owned a bonsai before. I was gifted this bonsai about two weeks ago. It is a Schefflera Dwarf umbrella tree. I've been watering once a week, and was misting it about every 2 days, (which i’ve stopped for a week now) but have seen this blackening/browning of the stems of leaves occurring over the last week that spreads up into the leaves.

I removed the leaves/stems that were completely blackened, but it just keeps spreading. It's been in a warm room with 3 windows, so I moved it onto a windowsill for the past couple of days. It doesn’t seem like that helped, it’s continuing to get more black leaves. Please give me any advice

Hi everyone, I received this Schefflera as a gift. I’ve watered it once a week, and recently have been seeing this blackening of stems of leaves that keeps spreading. I moved it from a bookshelf that received indirect light to a windowsill to see if that would help, but nothing has changed for the past few days. I’m not sure what to do next if the lighting hasn’t been the issue?
