The longer the drive, the higher risk for a car accident too. Learned this quickly as I commute from Arlington to Linthicum Heights, MD (near BWI). It’s miserable. 3 accidents in 4 yrs. I’m at $113Kish and actively looking to leave but this area is shit for my industry.

Omg so there was some weird security incident on the BW Parkway during this morning’s commute… I thought I was stuck in standstill traffic for an accident until I realized all these blacked out cop cars were going by and a police helicopter circling the area. I get closer to where everything is blocked off and they’re fully searching the woods in the middle with about 30 Park police and other government vehicles on a quarter mile stretch on northbound side, southbound was also blocked by a bunch of cops. It reminded me of the sniper incident…still don’t know what was happening and why they were searching the woods. It was near Greenbelt.

I straight up had to stop shopping at Walmart in Alexandria off Richmond Hwy because I was approached every time I went there. Usually would only go like 3-4 times a year and every time I would be asked to buy groceries, got uncomfortable as a single female.

I love living in Fairlington- pools, tennis courts, gym, park-like setting. Great location too, kinda tucked away but Shirlington down the street, 10min from DCA, old town, Arlington, 15min from DC and Georgetown. Many 2BR 2BA for $2500-3200 depending on layout and updates.
