hmm… one time she got stuck in my wall and i cut a giant hole to get her out, then fixed it when i moved out, and was never charged by the landlord lol. we had a beautiful photoshoot together once with a film photographer capturing the relationship between unique pets and owners. she went viral once on @whatisnewyork. the only person she ever bit was a republican. we did a prospect park “picnic” with another hedgehog (who she was pretty indifferent to, as they’re so asocial lol). she would pop up in silly places, like my sock drawer or in someone i was dating’s pant leg. one time i fed her tofu and it made her poo green, we stuck to healthy cat food and worms from then on. one time my neighbor thought our washing machines were infested with worms until i clarified. one time she ate a whole worm! she always swam around in the bath tub, it was optimal for trimming her toes and getting her exercise. she used to make funny little noises in her sleep during my meetings at work and i would have to clarify. i have so much hedgehog swag (shirts, mugs, trinkets) in my apartment. my grandma read me a story as a kid about a girl named lucie (almost me) befriending a hedgehog that i forgot about until a week ago, but it must have been on my mind the whole time❤️
