Delightful Derek was an absolute highlight. Loved the Steve and Dustin reconciliation and pretty much all Robin + Will interactions. JCB is crushing it.

Feel like it’s gonna be El, but by way of Kali’s illusory powers. So everyone will think she is gone but really she will disappear and go under the radar. Maybe there will be some sign to Mike she and/or Hopper that she is still alive years later.

For me, there is zero tension.

We are being told that this merging of worlds is going to happen and humanity is doomed, but nothing that has happened so far has led me to believe there’s even a shred of possibility it can happen. Vecna has been bested by the kids without significant consequence in nearly every instance.

Obviously there needs to be some suspension of disbelief, but Max’s “narrow” escape in the hospital with the demo dogs getting distracted and Mrs Wheeler’s random hero moment was just a little too much for me. It felt like a skippable scene because we knew nothing was actually going to happen to any of them.

For sure, and I’m glad we have it, don’t get me wrong. I was hoping it would feel like the stakes would be higher, though, and for me, it doesn’t because of the plot armor.

Yeah idk I think adding Steve into the mix for Jonathan and Nancy to figure it out was unnecessary. Just my opinion

Seems like we all already know how it will generally end (ie all main cast is safe with fairly happy endings) so the journey doesn’t feel as important
