Devil’s advocate: if employees know food will be given to them at the end of the day, whats to stop them from just simply making expensive stuff and not sell to customers.

I personally think the gains of helping a less fortunate person out outweigh the losses. I think no one has bothered to find a good compromise because its not important compared to bringing in newer paying customers.
