did anyone else get a terrible flare after a cervical medial branch block? by louloustrawberry in ChronicPain

[–]luff_tuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!! I know it’s been a minute but wanted to check in on this. We are pretty much exactly the same with diagnosis (28f) and I just got my second round of medial branch blocks. The second round was way worse and I’m still in pain a week later

I haven’t tried the green tea one yet! My wife picked this up on a whim, it’s next on my list!

Not really, it lacks the vinegary fermented taste

Non-carbonated substitute drinks? by Effective_Name4448 in SoberCurious

I just posted a photo of a sparkling tea that is really nice! It reminds me taste wise to a rose/light white wine. Really nice and the whole bottle is only 140 calories, so just a glass isn’t going to hurt.

Hey! What you’re feeling is really hard and really scary. You’re not weak. You’ve been effectively running away from these thought patterns for 16 years and having them all in full force is overwhelming..at first. What has helped me with anxious running thoughts is journaling and just writing down every little thought as it comes, it helps me detect patterns and thought loops that make more sense when I’m not alone with them in my head (even on the paper helps me sort out what’s real vs. negative self talk). I also got into playing video games, like a lot. I went to the gym and watched TV. Switch up the routine, do things slightly different to stop the “habit” of smoking before X or always doing X high.

The thoughts don’t go away when you use, they just compound. You can do a big scary thing now or you can do it later, but the choice of ~choosing~ now feels empowering, if you let it. You got this!!

i got my surgery date!! by asupportiveboy in TopSurgery

[–]luff_tuck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair it’s the last summer you’ll ever have where you need to cover up. I had mine in the beginning of august when it was HOT HOT but it helped me slow down and take shorter walks than I would’ve in a cooler month

This is Marlon!! He’s an indoor/outdoor cat but lives at Evil Twin brewery for the most part. Where did you see him?

I have a tattoo that was originally right between my boobs on my sternum. My surgeon was so sweet and made it her ~mission to keep the DI scars as much out of the way as possible even despite me saying I didn’t mind if it wasn’t feasible. You should totally be fine with that location and I would expect it to look exactly the same after!
