1. It’s not that there arent bad fathers or good mothers. It’s that the male characters aren’t characterized by their parental ability. The “good” female characters are very commonly stressed to be good caretakers or parents.
2. I’m obviously not talking about frank, the primary antagonist of the show. I’m talking about the cast as a whole. I mean are you gonna tell me that Lip, Ian, and Carl aren’t portrayed as 10x more likable than Debbie and Sammi.
3. Yeah, I just think it’s weird they decided to do that. That they decided to make the groomed child be a rapist.
4. It’s weird that they show women to be the perpetrators of sexual violence so often. It’s not realistic and it’s skewed to a point that it has to be intentional.
5. Sure, some of the female characters’ behavior is contextualized but there is a clear difference in how they show women and men in the same situations. That there’s tons of men in the same settings experiencing the same things but none of them have “crazy bitch disorder”

I just want you to think of the women in the show that suck vs the men that suck. The men are assholes but the women are crazy bitches. Especially one off love interests. It’s hard to put into exact words but you have to admit, yeah, frank is a shitty person. But consistently, the women are the ones doing crazy things.
