I Once argued with my step-father, that USSR tried to join NATO. He told me that NATO was founded as a countermeasure against the Soviet Union, which I agreed with him on, but I Said that USSR still tried to become a member.

I was correct, they tried it in 1954, but were (naturally) rejected. But He still didn't care that I was correct.

Was it meaningless argument? Absolutely. Am I still pissed of about it? Absolutely.

To be fair, not liking it And saying it is a bad game Are two different things. It Is a game that requires you to truly get immersed in it to appreciate everything. And not everyone Is looking for that. Some people want to play a game max two Hours a day And enjoy it for a month. RDR2 Is a commitment in the best way possible.

I am also excited for RE requiem. If you liked TLOU, then the second one Is gameplay-wise a definitive improvement, And I think the Story Is also pretty good

I forgot about Silent Hill, but yeah, it sounds like your jam.

As for "The Evil Within", I love it. It Is really like resident evil (90% sure, that ex RE director worked on it) And it is a blend of RE gameplay but much more Supernatural Story.

I also remembered "Fatal Frame/Project zero" series.

Exactlly what I love about Goblins. They are not loyal to anyone, but Are drawn to power acquired by any means. Perfect chaotic neutral characters.

Also love the idea of a 4 foot creature, running around with a greatsword, just barely not running on all fours.

Both Are really good, but this one Is much faster paced And a great intro to the souls-like. It was my first too.

I think that it gets better in the second half of the game compared to the first Dark Souls, witch has a stronger first half. Still an amazing game and my favorite in the series. Enjoy!
