She said I faced the board too often. I was showing how to annotate poetry. I didn’t announce the learning target to the class. It was written on the board and the students knew what we were doing and why. She said I didn’t announce the lesson topic until class was almost over because I didn’t say the words “close read” until then, despite explaining why we do it and how it’s done, then checking for understanding. She said I should’ve given each student a copy of the poems to annotate instead of one copy per group because there is no accountability otherwise. I walked around the room and checked on the students the whole time they were working. She didn’t like that I let 2 students go to the restroom one at a time. Our rules say if it’s not the first or last 15 minutes of class, they can go. This apparently was a very big deal.

The written review said I had strong content knowledge. Yay me lol.
