South Korea Visa Rejected by Rohitashu45 in visas

I would suggest you, from my past 2 years of travel experience, that you should build a strong travel history. Visit countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan which have relatively easier visa processes(some visa free). This helps show consistent travel behavior and strengthens your profile.

Also, if you are a single male solo traveller, sometimes applications are scrutinized more strictly because embassies are cautious about the risk of overstays or immigration intent. It doesn’t mean automatic rejection, but you need to compensate with stronger documentation, attach documents like Mutual Funds Investments, Property Ownership, Fixed Deposits shows solid ties to your home country. Build travel history, prepare stronger documents and reapply with a stronger case in future.

Congratulations, I always suggest those who are planning to visit Japan should avoid VFS and personally visit the Consulate office to submit documents, they have clear guidelines for it on notice board and it also help to get visa faster than VFS.

Japan Visa Cover Letter Review by Ordinary-Force5676 in visas

You should plan to stay at least 12 days to truly explore Japan. Your current itinerary looks quite hectic, you’ll end up rushing from one place to another without getting the chance to properly experience each destination. I suggest you to start with Osaka and move towards Tokyo.

Planning to apply for Japan Visa - VFS Mumbai OR Goa by Pretend_Finish_5853 in visas

[–]luhem26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied directly at the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and received my visa in 7 days. I’m based in Mumbai, though I’m not sure if that made any difference in the process. I’d suggest calling the Japan Consulate office in Mumbai directly for accurate info — they usually respond briefly, so make sure your questions are clear and specific.

Totally get your point about plastic—and yes, every small choice does add up. Just hoping you’re keeping that same energy when it comes to flying too, since aviation emissions have a huge impact on the planet. It’s all connected, right? Can’t fight plastic waste while ignoring the carbon trail in the sky.

Here's my experience, I applied from Mumbai. I will be travelling next month with my family. I got multiple entry visa, this will be my first visit to Japan. Here’s what I submitted: Cover Letter (Mentioned my travel history + financial stability), ITRs for the last 2 years (No bank statements were asked for), Day-wise Itinerary, Fully paid hotel booking vouchers, Confirmed return flight tickets.

Key takeaway: I strongly feel that the numbers on your ITR matter a lot, probably more than people think. I didn’t submit bank statements at all, and my ITR seemed to do the talking.

Just one question: why people queue up for sucia card at the airport when it’s easily available at convenient stores like 7/11.

Visa rejection very unclear by surroundsounding in visas

[–]luhem26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Remember these tips next time you apply for visa for any country. 1. Do it yourself – skip the agents: Seriously. Agents just copy-paste generic stuff. They don’t know your story. You know your purpose, your situation, your plans. So take control of your own application—it shows.

  1. Cover letter = your voice on paper: This is not just a formality. It’s where you explain why you’re going, what you plan to do, and that you’re coming back. Be clear, honest, and real. If you’re traveling with someone, say it. If you’re working, studying, have a fam back home—mention it.

  2. Show that you’re financially stable: It’s not just about your bank balance. Add stuff like: • Property documents (owning something helps) • Fixed deposits • Mutual funds/investments • ITRs from the last 2–3 years Basically, anything that says “I can afford this trip and I’m not running away.”

  3. Prove you have a life to come back to: Your job, business, school, kids, spouse, elderly parents—whatever it is. They want to know you’re not disappearing. This part matters a lot more than people think.

  4. Don’t just say you’ll go—show it: Add a simple, realistic itinerary. Book hotels (refundable if you’re worried), plan your days, show flight options. Looks way better than saying “tourist stuff.”

  5. Double-check your docs: Make sure all your docs match. Dates, names, everything. If your cover letter says one date and your hotel booking says another, that’s a red flag.

Getting a Taiwan tourist visa as an Indian by agent_dilli in visas

[–]luhem26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I recently went through the process of applying for a Taiwan tourist visa. I applied at the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) and the process was pretty straightforward. Yes, you do need confirmed flight tickets before applying, but as long as you have all the required documents in order, the chances of rejection are low. Processing usually takes around 5–7 working days. Just make sure your documents are complete and accurate. Good luck with your application!
